NARS Orgasm is the ultimate blush everyone seems to be raving about. And I’m not an exception! I’ve been lusting after this product for ages. And without any further ado, I can clearly state that I love it and genuinely don’t feel upset about my purchase.
From the manufacturer:
Get the original rush of blush: a perfect blend of luminous peachy pink with a gold shimmer in our cult-favorite blush formula, now in a limited-edition collectible compact. Sheer, buildable color imparts a soft glow on fair skin and lends a warm golden shimmer on deeper complexions. Universally flattering shade creates a variety of effects and layering options.
- Made in Canada
- Weight: 4.8g
- I bought it at Sephora for a huge money, but now it costs about $30 online.
1. Packaging:
The black-black palette was packed in a black-black box. The palette is matte and soft to the touch. It becomes dirty very quickly and doesn’t look pleasant after a few uses. But it has a big, good quality mirror inside, which is a definite plus. The palette is sturdy and travel-friendly.
2. Color
It’s absolutely my color! If you are a tad tanned (I have olive skin undertone), then Orgsm blush will provide natural looking flush.
My natural flush looks almost the same. The only difference is the shimmer sheen in this blush.
The color is 100% of warm undertone, it’s pinky with a tad of coral color. The golden shimmer does its job well and the color in general looks warmer than it actually is. I think this blush will suit any skin color, be brave and give it a go. As for me, I like to wear this product in the summer, or early fall, as it looks more flattering on tanned skin. If you’re tanned then this blush will look warm on you, while it’ll look cold if you have a fair complexion. Its golden casting and sheen is visible only during sunny weather, or in photos with a flash. In real life it looks calm, and I wear it almost everyday.
3. Texture:
The product is finely milled, and doesn’t dust when I touch it with my brush. I use the RT brush, and the product translates perfectly well on it.
4. Pigmentation:
I’m raving about its pigmentation as well. It’s very bright and intense. The product is buildable, but try not to overdo it. At the same time, this blush is easy to blend. If it happened that I applied too much, I just swipe my powder brush over my cheeks and that’s all, my cheeks look flushed and innocent.
5. Staying power.
It’s insane! They hold on my tend to oily skin till the very evening.
Make-up:
I like to apply this blush not only on the apples of my cheeks, but also on my movable eyelid. There’s almost the same color in creamy eyeshadows by Maybelline “Rose Gold”. My make-up looks stunning if I darken my crease with a matte hue and add a bit a highlighter to the inner corners.
Conclusion:
I love this product for all its characteristics. I’m happy and don’t regret the spent money.
Nevertheless, there are some cheaper analogues for this NARS Orgasm blush: Sleek in the color Gold № 926, MAC in the color Springsheen, and BareMinerals Ready Blush in the color The Natural High. There are pretty enough of the swaps, but the legendary is called only one - NARS Orgasm! Each brand has its iconic products, and this blush is absolutely satisfied to be called “best-selling”.
I recommend NARS Orgasm blush and give it deserved 5 stars!
