Pros: built-in front light, doesn't make the eyes tired, great battery life, great touchscreen, lightweight and compact, vocabulary, wifi
Cons: no charger

Hey everyone Smile

Today I’m going to review my favorite Kindle Paperwhite. First up, I’ve never had an e-reader before, so I have nothing to compare it with, but I’ll try to be unbiased about its pros and cons.

So I purchased it 5 months ago from Amazon.com for ca. $ 120.

The device comes in a small package:

The e-book looks the following way:

It’s very light and fits well in your hand, which is so great for reading. There is only a power button, plus a charging port and a lamp that indicates the battery life.

In the box you can also find a USB cord and a quick-start guide, but no power adapter. You can charge your e-reader with a computer via USB or buy a suitable adapter.

When turned on, the device looks like this:

On the Sleep screen an ad appears, which changes from time to time if your wifi is on. When you purchase something from Amazon, Kindle automatically creates an email for you, so that you can easily send documents to your Kindle and read it anytime.

Using this email you can send docs in many formats directly from your computer, which is very useful.

You may purchase books from Amazon or download them from your computer.

Content formats supported: TXT, PRC, PDF, AZW, MOBI. Keep in mind that you should place your books only in “documents” folder. If you worry that your Kindle doesn’t support other formats, you can use a converter that is designed specific for Kindle e-readers.

Some of you consider a flash-card absence to be a downside. The device storage is 2 GB, but I assure you that it’s more than enough. I have 43 books on by e-reader at the moment, but the storage is more than half empty.

The use is extremely easy and the pages flip like with a real book.

As for me, I’ve chosen this very version because of the front light. An e-book is good, but an e-book with a front light is much better. The light is not very bright, so my eyes feel comfortable.

Moreover, I bought a case for my e-book that is made of good material. I accidentally dropped my device several times, but nothing happened with my screen or anything. In addition, when you close a case, the device goes into a standby mode also.

Generally speaking, the e-book has become the most important thing in my handbag and I carry it everywhere with me now.

I’m totally happy with my purchase and would recommend the device to everyone who spend a lot of time outside and love reading books.

If you are not sure if you need a built-in front light, buy another version at a more favorable price.

The e-reader has never acted up. I charge it about every 3 weeks and you may also use a Samsung charger for that matter.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions Smile

Happy shopping!
