Hey!
Today I’d like to show you another beautiful eyeshadow palette of mine, namely E.L.F. Flawless. I was fascinated by the four shades in the palette Sea Escape. They are so beautiful and remind me of the ocean.
Price: 2 USD
Design.
That’s what the palette looks like. It was packaged in a cardboard box with a plastic lid. On the box you can find product information as well as the list of ingredients.
The eyeshadows themselves are in this cute package with a tiny mirror and an applicator. They can be applied both with this applicator or any other brushes. Personally I don’t use brushes at all and do my make up with this applicator. I find it pretty convenient.
The shades are truly beautiful, they remind me of the ocean. The first two are like azure water near the sea shore, the other two are like ocean depths. That’s the kind of associations I have.
The four shades perfectly combine with each other and can be used at the same time. They look almost the same on my skin and only differ in the finish: there are two matte and two glossy finishes.
Pigmentation, formula and lasting power:
The shades are highly pigmented and easy to take with fingers, brushes, and applicators. They don’t fall from brushes.
(Daylight + Daylight and flash)
They seem to look almost sheer on my skin, but the intensity of the colors can be adjusted by applying two coats, using an eyeshadow base or applying it wet. I don’t use an eyeshadow base because I don’t have any:) But even without one, these eyeshadows look pretty decent.
(Daylight + Daylight and flash)
The formula is soft and easy to apply. The fall out can be easily removed with a brush. The eyeshadows don’t crumble.
The turquoise shades look almost the same, as well as the violet ones. But the formulas are different. One of the turquoise shades is matte, the second is shimmery. The same is with the violet shades.
On the eyelids, they all look beautiful and saturated. I had no problems applying them.
The eyeshadows may fade a little bit, but they don’t fall off or settle into creases.
I love the dark shades, and create beautiful smokey eye makeup with them. The gray-violet makeup isn’t too bold, you know.
The turquoise shades don’t look great with my brown eyebrows. I think they would better suit those with dark hair and brown eyes. With blue eyes, the shades look somewhat pale.
Conclusion: I like the E.L.F. Flawless Palette in Sea Escape. The eyeshadows are easy to work with. The transition is smooth. My makeup doesn’t disappear throughout the day, plus the palette is affordable. Now I want to try other versions out!
