When I started to experiment with my hair color, I used some inexpensive hair tints. I didn’t really know how to use them properly, so my hair always ended up in shades reminding me of beetroot or overripe raspberry. I was sick of it and decided to order a semi-permanent hair color I thought to be of better quality.
Let me start this out by saying that if you want to get a bright and intense shade with this hair dye, your hair has to be totally bleached. Even if you have a slightest hint of yellow, it would come out soon and as a result you would have an awkward sky-blue pink color or something.
So…
I have no photo with my bleached hair, therefore I’ll describe it. The fringe was perfectly white, except for my roots where yellow pigment was still there.
I’ve taken this photo after the third hair wash. As far as you can see, the color is almost gone from the tips. I think that it disappears in a week completely.
When I colored my whole bunch of hair with this product, the color washed out somewhere in 10 days. By the way, when it comes off, the shade is utterly disgusting… and looks like hair of an elderly woman.
The hint of yellow in the roots is noticeable:
And here is the result on my hair.
The question is: is it worth its money?
The product is actually good, the colors are awesome. In addition, the hair dye is a good hair care… But it's not worth its money at all!
The choice is yours, it's entirely up to you, but my answer to the Manic Panic hair dye is no!
Price: ca. $10.
Thanks for reading my review!
