I first heard about the Mason Pearson hair brushes from a Youtube blogger. She was showing and telling us about her brush collection. She has been using some of them for 10 years and they looked like new!
I was impressed and starting surfing the Internet and reading about these miraculous hair brushes. Of course I wanted to get my hands on one of those brushes of that brand too.
I didn’t choose long and among all the
Mason Pearson variety I picked up the
Pocket Bristle. Firstly, the price was more or less affordable. The full-size brushes costed around $300. Secondly, I wanted to try something compact to use on the go.
More deets about the Pocket Bristle.
Price: $120
Made in England.
Packaging: The brush came to me like this.
In the picture you can see that it comes in a paper vintage package.
Inside you can find a velvet layering
and the instructions how to clean your brush. The more expensive options have a specific tool for cleaning the bristles.
Mine is not included, but you can purchase it individually.
Material: this brush as well as all the other brushes of this brand is made of plastic.
The material is polished manually.
The only difference between the brushes lies in bristles that are individual according to the hair type.
I have 100% boar bristles.
They are perfect for thin hair.
You can choose the color you want. I have it in Dark Ruby.
The brush is quite
compact and fits well in my hand. In the picture below you can see the brush in comparison with the Australian ten-cent coin.
I’ve been using this hair brush for 6 months already. I use it for dry hair only for a few reasons. First of all, I’d like to keep it safe for as long as possible Secondly, I prefer brushing my wet hair with a regular Tangle Teezer, as it’s bigger and detangles my hair better.
What I like about it?
Not a single bristle fell out!
The quality of the brush is on top. The material is perfectly polished and everything is well made. There is no clay or anything.
Performs well against my fly-away and dry hair. The brush makes it smoother.
Doesn’t make my hair static.
