I bought this Matrix Bond Treatment because my hair stylist advised it to me. I was surprised to find out that it’s a follow-up wash treatment. I mean, it’s to be applied before a shampoo. I’ve never seen anything of that kind before.
The product is said to be used as an after salon coloring and lightening. But my hair stylist recommended it as a standalone product.
A few words about my hair: high porosity, damaged and brittle, even though I don’t trial it with any heat tools or coloring.
And now about the product promises:
The formula acts as a buffer for the alkaline agents in the lightening process that preserves the bond while allowing the lightening to continue to happen.

Ingredients:
The smell is chemical.
The consistency is thick, aka, hair conditioner.

Impressions of use:
I haven’t noticed any results at all. My hair is frizzy all over and even my hair conditioner couldn’t tame it.
In fact, I can’t even get how the product can be working over my dirty hair when the cuticles are stuffed with dust and God knows what else. Maybe, it’s a good additional hair treatment after blonding. But as a standalone treatment, it does nothing for my hair.
