Hey everyone and thanks for stopping by!
Summer is upon us, which means vacations and the baking sun. Do not forget to apply a sunscreen at this time of year.
I’m on vacation at the moment and took this milk lotion with SPF 50+ with me.
General information:
Brand: Clarins
Country: France
Results: protects from UV rays
For whom: all skin types, both genders.
Size: 150 ml.
Ingredients:
A high-performance multi-filter complexion composed of the best, internationally recognized UVA-UVB filters. Phyto-Sunactyl 2 (a combination of extracts of senna, pea, plane tree, olive tree and baobab) protects epidermal cells from sun stress.
About the product:
The milk lotion has a lightweight white formula.
It distributes on my skin really well and I don’t have to rub it into my skin, because it absorbs very quickly.
My skin has a slight glow for a few minutes after applying, but as soon as it soaks in, my skin doesn’t have a white residue and my hair doesn’t stick to my shoulders or anything. Plus, it neither leaves me with any greasy film nor clogs my pores. It doesn’t smear my clothes and my skin feels very comfortable and protected.
I was applying this sunscreen to particular areas, where it was especially needed. As a result they didn’t get red or sunburnt.
I have to take good care of some particular areas, so I decided to use Clarins for them only and applied a cheaper sunscreen with SPF 20 to the rest of my body to get a slight tan.
However, my fair skin with a sunscreen with SPF 20 got sunburnt in these areas very quickly.
The left side is sunburnt and the right one is protected with Clarins
The next day I decided to use the Clarins milk-lotion for my entire body to avoid such unpleasant consequences.
I can surely recommend it to those with fair skin and those who get sunburnt too quickly. The lotion has a potent floral scent. My husband loves it, but for me, the scent is a little bit overpowering, but it dissipates quickly, so it doesn’t bother me. The atomizer gives the product very easily and works very well even when sand gets into it.
The bottle has 150 ml of the bright yellow product. It comes in a paper package, which I have actually thrown away when packing our suitcases.
The product is water resistant, which means that some part of it definitely stays on my skin after swimming and I can feel it. However, I still reapply it after a while.
The milk lotion has some skin caring properties as well, so it helps moisturize my skin and protect it from premature aging.
If you are looking for a decent sunscreen with a light and non-sticky formula, it’s exactly what you need.
150 ml lasts me all summer when I’m in a city, but it doesn’t go that far when I’m on vacation at sea, which is understandable.
It suffices for about 10 days when used daily by 3 people.
It’s not the first bottle that I repurchased, so I definitely recommend it.
