The cleansing brushes have a permanent spot in skincare routines of every woman and even men that take good care of her/his skin. The market is full of various devices and today I’d like to share my experience of one of them, the cleansing brush of the widely hyped Foreo.
The brand has many skincare tools, but I’d like to tell you about the one, Foreo Luna 2, which is meant not only for cleansing but also for renewing the skin.
This silicone brush weights 130 g and has 2 surfaces: a cleaning side and an anti-age side.
The color of the device depends on the skin type.
The pink option is meant for normal, purple for sensitive, blue for combo and turquoise for oily skin types.
The device fits very well in my hand and the shape helps clean efficiently even the wings of my nose.
It has 12 speed modes and saves the last used one after the first use.
It's powered from a charge. A single charge cycle lasts for 7 (!!) months. It charges completely in about 60 minutes.
How to use?
1. Turn on the cleaning mode by pressing the main button.
2. The cleaning mode lasts about 15 seconds and then stops for literally half a second, which means that you have to move to the next area of your face. I cleanse my skin the following way:
- left cheek and chin
- right cheek
- forehead
- nose and the area under my eyes
3. Now we put the device in standby mode by pressing the key button again and it lights up.
4. The anti-aging mode functions the same way but with a pause after every 12 seconds. Now use the tool for each problem area.
It’s easy to clean. I just wash it under the streaming water. By the way, the device is completely waterproof and can be used in a shower.
What are the peculiarities of the Luna 2 brush?
It uses T-Sonic pulsation (8000 pulses per minute) that helps take good care of your skin and cleanse it efficiently. By the way, there is no dragging or pulling, so it won’t cause premature skin aging.
Moreover, it ensures a kind of a peeling effect. As a result I have clean pores, smooth skin and even skin tone.
The anti-aging side is intended to prevent wrinkles due to the low-frequency pulsation.
I can’t say anything about it, because I have no wrinkles yet. So what’s the point to use this option for me personally? I use it to relax.
I use the Luna 2 for the area between my eyebrows, around my lips and for my temples. In such a way I can feel how the whole tension that I have during the day relieves. Awesome.
The main advantage of this device is that it doesn’t require constant brush replacement.
You buy one brush only and it comes with a 2-year warranty and a 10-year quality guarantee that allows you to purchase a new device with a discount of 50% off the sale price.
I had plenty of cleansing brushes already. I had usual silicone Clariskin skin cleansing system, Pobling Pore Sonic Cleanser, etc.
In fact, they all were doing a good job, but when I started using the Luna 2 I noticed how glowing and gorgeous my skin can be without makeup. And it happened for the first time.
Now some details: If your are a huge fan of various injections for your face, I strongly recommend you use low speeds to avoid early absorption of the injected product.
Here is my skin after about 90 days:
About the price:
It retails for about $199, which is quite expensive I guess.
However, if you are ready to shell out on your skincare and buy a good cream instead of eyeshadows, it’s going to be a good investment piece to your skincare bag. It won’t let you down but help you save your money that you spend on beauty salons.
Always have beautiful skin!
