Hello everyone who found their way here!
I’d like to tell you about one of my major go-tos in daily makeup and that is the Coastal Scents Bionic Flat Top Buffer BR-110.
I have plenty of brushes in my makeup bag beginning from Chinese no-names to popular Cailyn brushes. But it’s always not enough for me.
I wanted to test the Coastal Scents Buffer for quite some time. I love their eye makeup brushes. Moreover, bloggers were raving about it due to it soft bristles and versatility.
Taking into account the low price of about $10, I wanted to grab it even more.
I don’t know why, but something was always going wrong with the purchase, as I was constantly forgetting to add it to my cart.
So, I was longing to buy it for about a year, but one day I had to order an empty palette and remembered about Coastal Scents. On entering their website I saw that there was… SALE and my lovely brush retailed for only $3.48! Well, I bought it of course.
In 3 days I already had it in my hands.

The first thing I thought was: ‘Wow, so huge! How am I going to ‘polish’ my skin with foundation using such a tool?’
The brush did really turn out to be inconvenient when applying foundation, but it was not due to its size, but to its soft bristles. Well, yes, the bristles are very gentle and nice to the touch. They neither prickle nor scratch my skin, but whenever I try to ‘polish’ my skin with foundation, the bristles bend… and nothing happens.
The brush is perfect for dry textures, because it applies evenly and thinly without leaving any stains or streaks.
However, I purchased it for a foundation…
One day the idea struck me: ‘What if I ‘shorten’ the working surface of the bristles? They will then get the required sturdiness and I get the required surface suitable for my face.’
Without much thinking, I put an ordinary rubber band on my brush.
Voila! As a result I have a perfect Kabuki brush. Moreover, I can control the sturdiness and flexibility of the brush by pulling the band up and down.
When I needed to use it for a dry texture, I simply removed the rubber band and the brush looked as usual.
I was totally pleased with its properties when used with a band.
I have a real multi-tasking brush just for $3.5 now.
The brush is easy to clean. The dry formulas do not set into bristles really, because they are synthetic.
The foundation does soak into the bristles, but due to their softness, they are easier to clean than for example Cailyn brushes. More than that the BrushEgg makes it even easier and quicker.
The rubber band is also helpful when it comes to drying out the brush.
The brush is of a good quality. There is no shedding and the bristles dry out really fast...
After using other brushes of this brand, I can definitely say that this tool is going to perform for a really long period of time.
On the one hand, this brush is the brush of somebody’s dream, but on the other hand, its properties may disappoint some of you. If you have already purchased it or are only going to and doubt because of its size, buy a regular rubber band and try it, as the price is a steal!
Do not pay three times as much on various websites, but order it on CoastalScents.com!
Thank you for your attention! Stay tuned.
