I’ve read through a pile of reviews where girls yatter about eyelash curlers and the harm they bring to eyelash growth. But don’t they think that a mascara also may harm eyelashes as well as eyelids?
It’s another story to tell when they mention their fear that they pinch their lashes and tear them all out with a curler. That’s ridiculous!
Maybe I’ll disappoint some people but I have to say that for all 8 years that I’ve been using this curler, there wasn’t an eyelash to fall out from my eyes because of this device. And I use it almost every day, even when I don’t wear any mascara at all and want my lashes to feel free of coverage but still want them to look decent.
I can remember my first eyelash curler that I was using for 3 years until I broke it. I can’t recall the brand but once I saw the same one, I quickly repurchased. However, 2 years later, the pads went bad and since there weren’t any extra, I had to get rid of that curler too. After that, I bought the curler from the Inglot brand which I really regretted. It was just horrible but it cost something about $15. It was thin and absolutely inconvenient to hold in my hands. Besides, my lashes didn’t come into it fully. Never recommended!
So, after doing some thinking I decided to buy the curler from Kevyn Aucoin. It’s been 2 years already and I’ve never regretted buying this iconic curler. All the makeup artists and beauty bloggers all over the world are obsessed with it for a reason.
It’s fantastic because it grabs all the lashes, leaving none of them out. So, I spend less time re-curling.
Thanks to the good quality pads and adjustment, the curler gets straight under my lashes, curling them all up. The process always goes smoothly and pressure-less.
I guess that the result will mainly depend on your natural lashes condition. If mine were covered with an oil that I apply overnight beforehand, they become very pliant and lift up easily. If I don’t use the oil, then I keep the curler for longer on my lashes, about 15 seconds.
P.S. I also noticed that my lower lashes become longer if I don’t wear any mascara on them. I don’t like mascara there, so it’s already 4 years since I stopped. And the result is fantastic!
P.P.S Don’t forget that you should curl your lashes before mascara application. Hygiene is above all! Clean the curler after each use.
