I love the RT sponge very much. When I applied my foundation with it the first time, I just wanted to scream with delight. But, I didn’t actually, as I wanted to try it out with some other foundation products. And now, the time has come for me to change it for a new one, and I’m finally ready to write a review of it.
Before describing its advantages I want to say, that I was using it absolutely every day as well as washing.
- The price
- The design. It’s got a convenient “bippy” to spread and apply the foundation on the face. There’s also a precised tip, which is easy to work with in the under eye area
- It gives ideal coverage and, if needed, you can layer the product
- It’s pleasant to apply the product with, as very soft, but elastic to some extent
- It increases in size, once damped
- It’s long-lasting. 6 months-- it’s quite a long period. Besides, I gave my mum my old sponge and she continues to use it, and she is absolutely happy with it.
The sponge was in a plastic box. I don’t understand how some people received it battered.
Let’s take it out
Viola, no unpleasant scent there
The sponge after the 6 months of use
And, of course, let’s compare the old and new ones, dry and damp
On the left, it’s the old and damp, and on the right - dry and new
Before use, you should wet it, to become bigger and softer and to do its work properly.
Does it "eat" foundation products? Yes, of course, but only the excesses. It'll never create the mask wearing effect on the face, and will leave as much amount of the foundation, as you need.
If you can’t wash out the sponge, then pour some micellar water on it and leave for some time. When you wash it off, the sponge will be as clean as a new one. If not, then try cleansing oil.
