Hello, the review and beauty lovers! Smile

Beautiful, even and natural foundation coverage in my everyday makeup is the most important for me. + eyebrows and eyelashes, of course!

I’ve tried to apply my makeup with so many things - fingers, flat brush, duo fibre brush, cushion puffs, beautyblender. But the best turned out to be the Real Techniques Miracle Sponge!

The new sponge looks like this:

convenient flat edge for applying foundation all over the face

and precision tip for for the contours around the eyes and nose

It’s soft, porous and needs to be saturated with water!!!

I’ve been using my sponge for more than three months, but I don’t actually use it everyday, 2-3 times a week, maybe.

And now it looks like this: not bad, I’d say, in comparison with all other things which I used to apply my makeup with.

In my review I want to show you the application of the lightweight texture foundation by Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum.

I saturate the sponge with water and squeeze the excess out. So the sponge becomes bigger and softer!

If you take your foundation with this sponge or just put the foundation directly onto the sponge, then, of course it’ll quickly absorb the foundation and the consumption will be very high.

That’s why you’ll need to spread the foundation on your face! And then, with fast and dabbing moves, pad the foundation into your skin.

That way of the foundation application will suit to the lightweight coverage lovers. You’ll easily apply thick foundation textures, as well as light creams with radiant parts in them (like mine).

To get such coverage, I need just a small amount of foundation. I used just one pump.

I use concealer on the blemishes, small pimples and so on. I don’t use powder. The foundation stays well, even without the powder.

I finish my makeup with contouring, and blush on the apples of the cheeks.

A closer look. I like the fact that when I use the sponge, then the foundation sits well on my face and doesn’t look patchy and or settles in my pores.

This is how the sponge looks, straight after the foundation application. I read some reviews where they say that the sponge “eats” a lot of product. I think it eats only the excess amount of it.

After I used the sponge, I wash it with a soap and let it dry. (It becomes completely dry within 24 hours.)

Of course the sponge wears out. Nothing lasts forever! But I think that in this “gadget” there’s an optimal correlation of price-quality and the period of use!

That's the reason why I show you a sponge after a long period of use, and not immediately after the purchase.

My impressions: I’m delighted with my purchase. I'll continue using this sponge and then, I'll order a set of two or even four sponges.

Specially for those who love reading only the general conclusion:

  • It allows to apply a thin and even coverage
  • the opportunity to layer the foundation
  • the foundation doesn’t look patchy
  • it doesn’t sit in the pores
  • the maximum of natural coverage
  • good correlation of price/quality and the period of use
  • it “eats” only the excess amount of the foundation
  • it’s easy to wash with soap
  • economical use of foundation
  • suits lightweight coverage lovers.

I hope that my review was useful for you, or at least interesting.

Thank you for your attention!
