Hello there!
For a long time I couldn’t decide on which palette to choose: Soft Glam or Modern Renaissance.
Finally, I somehow stopped on the first one. For me, the Soft Glam shades seem to be more versatile.
Price: $42
The design of all the ABH eyeshadow palettes is the following: cardboard velvet, heavy compact, magnet and safe closure. The color here is light beige and I know that it willingly collects all the stains, but it’s also easy to wash off with a cotton pad soaked with micellar water.
There’s a mirror provided (by the way, it’s so handy) and a dual-sided featured brush, which is an epic fail, guys, I couldn’t use it.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam eyeshadow palette comprises of 4 satin, matte and 2 pressed pigments.
Swatches and product description:
Tempera - satin, beigy pink shade. It’s so pigmented. I like how well it holds on my eyelids. It’s absolutely fuss-free, no fall out.
Dusty Rose - matte cool-toned lilac. It’s great for the crease.
Glistening - satin iridescent gold with pink reflect. It’s very beautiful and easy to work with. It applies well and the texture is so soft.
Fairy - satin, gilded shade, which is a little bit like Glistening but it doesn’t have any pink notes to it. It’s perfection quality-wise, since it’s satin and easy to apply.
Orange Soda ultra matte pastel orange. It’s one of my favorite transition and blending colors. Although, before the purchase when I was looking through the swatches, I used to think that I would never find a use for it.
Burnt Orange - matte deeply-toned orange shade. It’s a little bit dusty and I use it to deepen colors or blending.
Rose Pink - satin pink shade with finely-milled iridescent shimmer. It’s very soft and well packed with pigments.
Sienna - matte red brown with red undertone. It’s a tad dusty. It applies even and blends out with ease.
Sultry and Bronze - lilac and bronze metallic hues. Texture-wise, they are like pressed glitter. Very dusty and falling out, that’s why your fingertip is the best tool here, as well as a damp brush too.
Rustic - matte warm-toned deep brown hue. As well as all the other matte shades (aside from the Mulberry maybe), this one is also nice to blend, pack and apply.
Cyprus Umber - matte cool deep brown shade. I love it! I use it for my lash line, for outer Vs and lower eyelids.
Mulberry - matte mulberry shade. Interesting, yet too problematic. The pigmentation is okay, but since the texture is too dry, it falls out a lot and I take it as the worst matte shade from the entire palette.
Noir - matte carbon black. Most of all, I use it as an eyeliner when I apply it with a damp brush. It’s so pigmented. It’s dry and can fall out a little.

My opinion:
These are the best eyeshadows quality-wise that I’ve ever had.
The texture is soft and velvety (except some shades, which I mentioned above)
The pigmentation is insane.
All the shades apply on my lids very well with fingers and brushes (all the swatches were done over my no-primed skin with one coat).
The products blend out themselves, I mean it. I’m so ham-handed but still, I manage to put on a gorgeous eye makeup within 10-15 minutes.
Some moments on how to tell the fake palette from the original:
It’s very simple to tell, you know:
The batch code is printed with vibrant and bright letters, while the original palette has them sheer and engraved.
The lettering on the compact and inside mirror is straight and capital.
NO logo. The fake palettes usually have all the letters with some other printing. The original palette has about an inch from the Anastasia Beverly Hills caption at the end of the palette.
Although there are some drawbacks about this palette, it’s still one of the best in my collection.
I assess it with 5 stars. ★
