Some The Balm products are falsely underestimated. Everybody knows about their highlighter, but nobody knows about their eyeshadow sticks. I learnt about it just recently myself. For the record, they were lying somewhere secretly in the store, so nobody paid any attention to it, but I did.
Today I’m into creamy and gel-like rather than dry textures. They are easier to apply and work with. When I started testing eyeshadows in the store, it was like: ‘Well, it’s OK’ about the light shade and ‘beautiful, but I have something like this’ about the rose color, etc. When I swatched a darker shade I said: ‘God! I need it now!’
So, I’m going to give you an in-depth information about my buy. The whole range is devoted to baseball. I appreciate The Balm for that. The brand produces products depicting various aspects of our life as opposed to the Pin-up Benefit.
The packaging: it’s a twist-up stick with a creamy formula. The color of the cap corresponds to that of the eyeshadow. Very helpful.
I have it in Pinch Hitter.
The shade itself is amazing. It’s a mauve shade with fine shimmer to it. High-end brands usually have such a shade.
Blended out with my finger
The eyeshadow literally glides over my skin and applies easy-breezy. The payoff is startlingly great. It was always an issue to apply an eyeshadow pencil to the inner rim of my lower eyelid. Kajal pencils always came off and long-wearing products scratched my skin there. I forgot about these problems when I applied this eyeshadow. I apply it in just one movement and it doesn’t transfer or fade.
The product blends out perfectly on the eyelids even with your fingertips. You can contour your eyes and blend the color with your fingers easily. As a result, you get soft and delicate smokey eyes in just 30 seconds.
I’m so obsessed with this eyeshadow stick and its formula. I will undoubtedly purchase other shades!
