Hey!
Today I’m bringing you my review of a rather uncommon product (at least for me) - BareMinerals Well-rested Eye Brightener Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Concealer.
I really like the name of it - Well-Rested, so cute, isn’t it? ![Smile Smile](/modules/smileys/packs/Roving/smile.png)
The name is catching, this is probably the main reason I grabbed it.
The back of the jar gives all the product details: name, weight (2g), ingredients and SPF 20. I like that there’s SPF here. It’s such a good thing when I can additionally protect my under eye area. Cool!
The package is handy. You can open the sifter each time you need to get some powder. So nice for travelling. I wish there were many shades, but they offer only one. ![Sad Sad](/modules/smileys/packs/Roving/aw.png)
In the cap it looks way darker rather than in life.
They advise us to buff it into the skin, but I know this “buffing” technique doesn’t work for me. At all. If I do buff it into my skin, then it looks horrible: flaking, with all the dry patches accentuated and creased into fine lines (even though I had no idea they existed). Such a nightmare.
That’s why I had to turn down this concealer for some time.
Recently I gave it a last chance to recover and finally managed to tame it and find good use of it. I could finally see the “well-rested” look, which I was dreaming to obtain for so long. ![Smile Smile](/modules/smileys/packs/Roving/smile.png)
How do I apply it?I apply my makeup (liquid concealer + some powder along my lower lid to set the liquid formula), after that I apply this mineral concealer with the lightest veil.
I usually try to cover only my under eye dark circles. I try to avoid the upper part of my eyes, because here I have some fine lines, where it willingly settles.

And yeah, only after that I can see the so awaited results! My under eye area doesn’t look fair, it looks as though blurred and photoshopped.
on the left I don't wear the mineral concealer, on the right I do
Unfortunately, the results in the photos don’t look so obvious as in real life.
The staying power is great the entire day. I tested this concealer with a flashlight, and no, it doesn’t look white in the shots.
The price is $20.00.
Even though I like the outcome I get with this concealer, all this mumbo jumbo that I have to perform to apply it well freaks me out a little. That’s why I take off one star to be fair.
