Since I’m an acid skincare junkie, a good sunscreen is essential for me. For 5 or more years I’ve tried a small pile of them which promised to protect my skin against the damaging sunbeams, however, not all of them succeeded at doing it.
For a rather long time, I was pretty loyal to sunscreen from Clinique but since it gets more and more difficult to find them available in stores, I duped it with this Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution SPF 50. This is what I’m going to review today.
Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen
The tube is made of plastic. It’s pretty compact in size and will fit into any purse for sure. The packaging isn’t see-through which isn’t convenient on the one hand, because I can’t see how much of it there’s left. But on the other hand, this way the formula is protected from UV rays.

Shelf life - 12 months. Mind the shelf life! Once you open a sunscreen, it won’t live long.
Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen
The texture is rather liquid and runny, so shake the tube well before using it (it has special steel mixing balls inside).
The fluid is nice to distribute. It makes my skin appear a little bit whiter. That’s not so critical for such a high SPF product.
However, if your skin is tanned, it’ll look paler then.
The smell is typical for the Clarins skincare products. It smells of something floral and herbal.
The fluid feels comfortable on my skin and I don’t feel too hot with it on.
Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen
I use this Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution SPF 50 Fluid all year round. I apply it in the morning after my skincare products but before my makeup. If you don’t wear any makeup at all and your skin is oily, you might not like the finish it has.
My makeup applies well over this sunscreen. However, thick and covering foundations don’t want to sit over it and crease.

The main role of this Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution SPF 50 Fluid is to protect my skin against the damaging sun effects. And it does all the job amazingly! When it was boiling hot, my face didn’t get a sunburn, unlike from my back and legs which I didn’t care much about.

This sunscreen isn’t so easy to remove. I always dissolve it with a hydrophilic balm and then wash off with a cleansing gel. But for me, the most vital thing and the reason why I repurchased it that it doesn’t make my skin break out! It usually may happen with other high protection sunscreens that I used. Here, I haven’t ever gotten a pimple!

I love this Clarins UV PLUS Anti-Pollution SPF 50 Fluid and I’ve bought it for the second time already. It’s perfect protection for my face, neck, chest, and hands. I’ve tested it out many times.
No negative reaction from my skin was detected.
