Lip glosses are gradually entering my life again. I got this one in my collection by chance and this is what it has led to.

  • Price

The product costs $22 on the official site but I received mine as a part of the Glow Essentials Kit from Becca. Its price wasn’t high, besides I got it with a discount and it cost only $13 instead of $39.

  • Packaging

My lip gloss didn’t have any cover or a box because it was a part of a set and there was only one packaging for all the products. Visually, this lip gloss is different from any other lip glosses that I know.

The tube is see-through, the cap is silver. The overall look is neat.

The product is rather small and feels ergonomic in my hands.

The back of it has some brief info about the manufacturer and also the link to their website.

This brush here is actually the applicator.

It’s very neat and comes in handy when I apply it. It feels pleasant on my lips, though still a tad dry. The applicator takes out less product than I’d like it to get.

So, I have to multi-dip to get out the right amount for my lips.

  • About the product

Size: 3 ml (travel size) 5ml (full size)

Made in the USA

The lip gloss has corresponding texture and consistency which is a little bit sticky and gooey. It sits on my lips with even and beautiful coverage.

The shade is called Champagne Crème, and that sounds beautiful.

Looking through some info on the official site, I found out that the lip gloss in this shade comes as a part of two collections at once. One is classy, and it offers several other shades to choose from, while another is limited. I tried hard to know the difference and finally found out that it lies only in the design of the packaging. (By the way, the price is the same too).

The classy collection offers the tube which looks like mine, while the limited edition lip gloss comes with a top cap of another color. In fact, this is so confusing.

So, what’s this Champagne Crème shade? It’s a soft color of champagne, gold, and speckling golden and pink pearls.

Product says:

Soft gold with high-impact pink & gold pearls

This is how Champagne Crème appears with a flash:

Those pearls really shift from golden to pink shades.

I didn’t analyze the ingredients list but they state that the formula is enriched with ginger and peppermint oils, C and E vitamins and also shea and muru muru butters.

If you find this information interesting, here’s the fullest list of ingredients:

Diisostearyl Malate, Hydrogenated Styrene/Methyl Styrene/Indene Copolymer, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Polyethylene, Microcrystalline Wax\Cera Microcristallina\Cire Microcristalline, Synthetic Wax, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Isostearyl Alcohol, Lecithin, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Hydroxystearic Acid, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Malic Acid, Stearic Acid, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Silica, Palmitic Acid, Tin Oxide, Butylene Glycol, Water\Aqua\Eau, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Limonene, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tocopherol, BHT, [+/- Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Iron Oxides (CI 77492), Red 6 (CI 15850), Iron Oxides (CI 77499), Carmine (CI 75470), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140)].

It’s worth saying a few words about the aroma of the product. For the first several uses this aroma used to repel me and I really had a thought that it was the most disgusting smell that I’ve ever known. I also used to associate it with some dry peas. I even decided to turn down this product. And only some time after I realized what it actually smelled of. Peppermint, as though a chewing gum.

  • Results

In fact, the feature of this lip gloss is that it not only visually glows your lips but also nurtures them because of all those lip friendly components which give the product lip balm properties.

This is all due to the peppermint oil and a peptide that my lips feel frozen for some time.

Product says:

A lip formula with the shine of a gloss, pigment of a liquid lipstick and nourishing benefits of a balm.

Even though the formula has a lot of shimmer in it, the product appears natural and cute on my lips:

It’s just like a regular transparent lip gloss that offers some shine too.

I can say that the formula doesn’t have any sticky finish. It also doesn’t feather, bleed or tug my lips.

The staying power is like any other lip gloss. I mean it doesn’t rock my socks off. But, if you turn down some bites and drinks, then it has all the chances to stay put up to a couple of hours.

  • Overall thoughts

Although the product offers travel sized packaging, comfortable wear time and beautiful finish on my lips, I still don’t hurry to buy the full size.

Why?Because I feel like the price tag is high for me and I can buy several other lip glosses which won’t be worse than this one. They might be even better and more interesting. Nevertheless, it’s a good and nice quality product which many of you may fall for.
