Hello people!
Finally, I got my hands on the product which really deserves your attention - Becca Soft Light Blurring Powder.
Before that, I hadn’t had anything from the brand but I’ve heard a lot about their iconic products. And finally, we have Sephora in our town, so I could get to know the brand better. And I immediately saw this powder.
I like the idea of the brand: glowing, fresh, natural.
✨ Price: $38
✨ Size: 10g
✨ Made in: the USA
✨ Place of purchase: Sephora
The design of the powder steals the show at once. The square compact is made of a see-through plastic with a screw-on top cap.
The design appeals to me and adorns my vanity table.
However, the powder is bulky and it won’t fit into my purse. I think that’s important to note. I bought it just to use at home because I have another powder from Shiseido to carry around. So, this small drawback isn’t a flaw for me. The powder looks gorgeous!
Even though the packaging seems safe and sturdy, I’m still not sure it can live through a drop on the floor. Do I take advantage and not test it? I’m so curious! 😅
A light-reflecting powder that absorbs shine and gives skin an airbrushed finish like a beauty filter.
Soft Light Blurring Powder goes beyond the benefits of a traditional setting powder to create the ultimate dream filter. This feather - light, micro - fine powder is infused with ceramic microspheres that softly scatter light to blur imperfections and smooth & even the complexion. The universally flattering shade, Golden Hour, sets makeup, prolongs wear, and refreshes any look for a perfected complexion day to night
Talc, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Mica, Boron Nitride, Silica, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Hexylene Glycol, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Sodium Potassium Aluminum Silicate, Phenoxyethanol, Tin Oxide, CI 77491/77492/77499 (Iron Oxides), CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide)
This powder comes with 2 shades:
1. Pink Haze- As the sales rep said to me, this shade will flatter fair skin tones and will lighten up the complexion. Here the powder is pink-toned.
2. Golden Hour- Since my skin isn’t fair, I opted for this shade. It flatters me the most!
I use this powder as a finishing product for my face makeup. I apply it all over my face, patting it into my skin, paying special attention to my T-zone.
I find it more convenient to pick up from the cap because if I take it from the compact, I can apply too much.
The powder didn't impress me when I first applied it: I couldn’t get what we pay such money for. And don’t forget that the powder has only 10g!
I didn’t test it all over my face in the store because only God knows who applied it before me there. I swatched it on my hand and it looked great.
But some time later, I had a chance to assess it. The powder is finely milled and it really applies with the thinnest veiling coverage. My complexion is fresh and glowing with it. And yeah, about the glow: the powder glows on my skin. If you look closer, you’ll see the finest shimmer there. But it’s so delicate. However, no one would like to wear a highlighter all over their faces, so this glow is different and delicate. This glowing finish is perfect for me. I wish you could see it in the pictures.
The powder from Becca is mattifying. When it’s not hot as hell, it’s even enough for me for the entire day. It doesn’t crease or settle into my fine lines. I also love that it doesn’t appear darker during the day. It only perfects my skin.
I’ve been using it for a week and I’m in the rave!
