Hi there!

It’s been almost six months since I bought this limited edition Bobbi Brown Caviar & Rubies Eyeshadow palette.

I usually don’t pay attention to the boxes and packages of products (though I love when they look original and sophisticated), but the Bobbi Brown looks really posh not only in the pictures, but also in life!

The weight of the product is 15.8g. All in all the palette offers 9 shades of eyeshadows. Here we can see matte, satin and one glitter shade which is to be used as a top cover. Each shades has a different name.

The shades in the palette:

Golden Beige - (metallic eye shadow)

Moon Star - (metallic eye shadow) - pearl light pink

Black Plum (matte) - deep dark cherry-colored shade. This one is a little bit dry, though it still applies evenly.

Wheat (matte) - gray beige

Gilded (Diamond Dust eye shadow) - glitter

Cool Grey (matte) - saturated slate

Caviar (matte) - deeply-toned black shade, which doesn’t fall out

Black Scotch (metallic eyeshadow) - dark copper-brown

Deep Sapphire (matte) - saturated black shade.

All the matte shades - Deep Sapphire, Caviar, Black Plum and Cool Grey are nicely packed with pigments. However, the blending is still smooth and all the colors never fall out and are perfect for smokey eyes. Texture-wise they are drier than the ABH or Viseart shade (I count only those ones which I have), but they are no way less pigmented and there’s no fall out, unlike the ABH products. The Wheat shade isn’t dry, but it doesn't at all mean that it isn't packed with the pigment.

All the shades which have metallic sheen are fuss-free in application. Well, maybe only the Moon Star shade is a tad more difficult to pick up with a brush.

Makeup

I applied the Golden Beige and Wheat shades to the crease and along the lower lash line. I also used the Black Scotch shade to darken the outer Vs and as a base shade for the glitter Gilded color.

The Moon Star is applied all over my eyeballs, the Cool Gray is in the crease and the line is done with the Caviar shade. I also applied the same shades to the lower lids. The blending was done with the Wheat shade.

Over a base shade from another brand I applied the Deep Sapphire and blended it out with the Wheat shade. The outer Vs are darkened with the Cool Gray shade and the line is done with the Caviar. The shades Wheat, Cool Grey, and Caviar are applied over my lower lids as well.

Bobbi Brown Caviar & Rubies Eyeshadow palette has turned out to be a lucky purchase for me. I’ve never regretted buying it. All the shades look interesting, which enables me to come up with different color combinations, creating daytime and evening makeups. The selection of dark shades is perfect for smokey eyes, blending and eye lining.

And of course I can’t help mentioning the package rave that I experience: aesthetics, style, quality - all that brings this palette to the same level as the Tom Ford cosmetics.

See you!
