I would like to complain (again!) about my bad luck with foundations. Judging by the rating of Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel, it’s loved by many girls. But, alas, not by me.
About my skin.
I have white skin, which is cold with a grayish undertone. I use foundations every day. I get pimples after eating something sweet, but currently I do my best to overcome the addiction to sugar.
My perfect foundation must:
- Smooth the skin surface
- Conceal blemishes
- Have a bit of moisturizing properties
- Have good lasting power
- Provide a gentle glow
Many girls recommended that I buy Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel. Well, I thought that it wouldn’t hurt to try.
★ The price is about $15, which I find acceptable for a mid-range product.
★ The volume is 30 ml. Enough for about 6-7 months. It seems to be perfect, because sometimes I just cannot spend a larger amount before the expiration date. The foundation is economical, you only need to press the pump twice to get the required amount.
Shelf life after the opening: 12 months.
Country of origin: France.
★ The foundation comes in a transparent glass bottle with a red cap. You can safely carry it around in your bag, the packaging is excellent.
The dispenser is great! It never spits the foundation out or jams.
★ The scent is very gentle, summer, berry-flowery, sweet.
★ I really liked the texture, it’s weightless like water and very pleasant to use.
★ I usually apply it with a finger, or sometimes I use a sponge or a brush. The foundation doesn’t dry instantly as it gets on the skin, so it can be applied slowly.
★ I took the fairest shade 51 (Light Vanilla).
When testing in the store, it never occurred to me that the foundation could be so yellow. The swatch on my hand seemed to be perfect.
It's good that I had a contouring palette from NYX to help me. There is a white powder that slightly neutralizes the yellowness.
★ The foundation was absolutely useless for me, it only made my complexion look yellow. It doesn’t even cover blind pimples! It emphasizes skin peeling, settles in creases and has no moisturizing effect.
It lasts only 30 minutes. But not 16 hours.
In the photo, I powdered my face well, so my face and my neck aren’t different colors.

Cons:
- Shade
- Lasting power
- Does not cover even tiny blemishes
The disadvantages outweigh the advantages.
★ So, the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation was completely useless. I think it's suitable for girls with perfectly smooth skin without blemishes.
