Recently I managed to get my hands on the mini of the new Chanel Le Volume Revolution de Chanel mascara. In my review, I’ll tell you whether it has managed to become my Holy Grail product or not.
Chanel always treats us with their minis of new launches, which is very pleasant. For example, I really fell for their classy Chanel Le Volume de Mascara but I was repelled when I tried it in the ultra-black color.
Here the brush scared me with its outward appearance. It’s big and bulky. I can’t maneuver it. The bristles are too short and along the wand, you can see small balls everywhere.
With a patented 3D-printed brush, LE VOLUME RÉVOLUTION DE CHANEL revolutionizes mascara.
Featuring micro-resevoirs, the unique material of the brush provides the optimal amount of formula for immediate, extreme volume, and a longwearing, intense black result. Lashes are perfectly coated in a single stroke.
This mascara is said to be volumizing and I think that here it does a good job. It does clump my lashes together, though it isn’t too critical for me. I don’t comb my lashes with additional brushes.
I also want to tell you that I like the way this mascara curls my lashes and keeps them up. The only gripe is that I wish it was more lengthening at my eyelash tips. But here I’ve got nothing to be picky about since the product doesn’t even promise anything about lengthening.
The thing that I can be picky about is actually its staying power. It’s true to say that there aren’t many mascaras which are able to stay on my lashes from the morning till the evening. But still, there are some, one of them is Maybelline Lash Sensational, which is more than affordably-priced.
Maybe the reason is behind thick and moisturizing concealers that I use on a daily basis, or maybe behind my skin type or contacts that I wear. Whatever, I mean there are still some mascaras which are able to stay on me the entire 12 hour day! But this Chanel mascara is a toss.
It crumbles, flakes off and smudges by the afternoon. I’m not comfortable with such staying power at all.
Buy or not to buy:
Well, if you have a chance to test out a mini, then why not. If your lashes are finicky and you always have problems with mascara’s staying power, then it’s a toss product for you indeed.
