Red lipstick is always trendy and classy. Red lipstick is a symbol of a self-confident woman. The red color is one of my favourites.

There are several shades of the red lipstick. And to choose the right one you should take into consideration the factors like eye color, hair color and even the color of your skin.

There are some basic rules that will definitely help you to choose the right shade of red:

- The fair haired girls with fair complexion usually find berry-like (crimson or cranberry-colored) shades of red to be the most flattering for them.

- Chestnut girls with beige (something between ivory and swarthy complexion) usually look good when they wear classic red color or bright crimson, scarlet and tomato-like coral shades.

- Girls with dark eyes and hair usually opt for the cherry-like shades and bordeaux colors.

- Red haired ones with fair complexion will like the amaranth, or intense red-pinkish shades.

My lipstick R04 The Red is of classical red shade with blue undertones.

Design:

The design is usual and nice: matte black packaging with the sign of Sephora on the top cap. The product has a neutral smell.

The texture is creamy and soft. It isn’t difficult to apply on the lips and it always appies well and evenly. For a better application, I advise you to exfoliate your lips beforehand.

The product doesn’t crease, get out of the contours or smudge. I like wearing it as it’s uber comfortable and doesn’t dry out my lips. The color disappears evenly during the day, leaving a slight hint of pigment on my lips. The finish is glossy.

The texture of the product is rich not only with pigment but also with the olive oil and black currant seed extract, which are very useful in terms of lip care.

By the way, red lipsticks can be of either orange or blue undertones.

The blue undertoned lipstick will look pink or crimson if blended out.

While the lipstick with orange undertone will look orange or peachy once blended out.

The product on my lips:

I think it looks great!

And do you wear red lipstick? How often?

As for me, I don’t need any festive or special occasion to wear it. I like it wearing on a daily basis when I’m in high spirits.

The most important thing is to feel self-confident!

Have a good day!
