Hi!
I kind of have a nervous tic each time when it comes to choosing a foundation. It’s the most frustrating part of my make-up. I’m thirty, and I haven’t found a perfect foundation yet.
A few months ago I came across this foundation from Clinique. I don’t remember exactly how much I paid for it, but I reckon the price was pretty high.
My shade is WN 04, with a pink undertone. Actually, there is more pink on my skin than I’d prefer.
Packaging:
A transparent bottle of soft plastic with a screw cap and a long nozzle.
The bottle was in a cardboard package, on which all the necessary and unnecessary information can be found:
Weight: 30 ml.
Shade: WN 04
SPF 15
Glossy Finish (I disagree)
Should be used within 24 months after opening. The foundation is quite runny, easy to spread and blend out both with fingers and makeup sponges.
It provides a very light coverage and cannot cover red spots. One shouldn’t expect from this foundation more than just a slightly evening of the skin tone. Many wrote that this gives a healthy glow. I wouldn’t say so. It’s rather a mattifying effect.
When blended out properly, the foundation isn’t visible on the skin. But it doesn’t conceal skin imperfections either. Let me show you my pigment spot and pimples.
The lasting power is quite good. The foundation don’t crease or slip off.
The foundation does emphasize flaking, and you can see it on my nose.
In general, I’m not happy with the product. Yes, it didn’t cause any new blemishes or whatsoever. It doesn’t dry out or tighten my face even after a long day of wear.
But! The coverage is way too lightweight for the price.
Anyway, I’m not going to talk you out of the idea of purchasing the product. After I read a few reviews, I came to the following conclusion: if you have dry skin without significant problems which is neither too dry or too oily, you don’t actually need full coverage and this foundation is probably the best option for you.
But personally I wouldn’t buy it again.
