After watching some makeup videos where liquid dropper foundations were covering up all acne spots and irritations, I thought that I desperately needed one too! I always had an issue with foundations.
Well, this is how I happened to purchase the Rainforest of the Sea from Tarte.
I’ve tried all ways of application and tested it through rain and even snow.
Details:
The foundation is liquid and picks up with a dropper, which is very convenient. You can apply it immediately to your skin.
I’ve tried using it 3 ways:
With my fingers: Not a very convenient way, because the foundation is liquid. It sets on the skin pretty quickly, so you better work faster.
With a brush: It applies perfectly and the coverage is thin and lovely.
With a beauty blender: It’s the best way to apply this foundation. You can control the coverage, because it layers very well.
It covers up my pores and acne spots perfectly, although it has a liquid formula.
Doesn’t feel mask-like.
Extremely long-wearing! I was so positively surprised! It even edged out my favorite MAC and Estee Lauder Double Wear foundations that were giving me an oily sheen even with a powder after a while...
This one doesn’t make my skin oily even without a powder!
I learnt it accidentally when I tried to take it off from my hand with an ordinary soap.
Also, it doesn’t smear or bleed in rain or snow.
I have the shade Light Sand that I bought specifically for summer. But the product is available in a variety of shades!
If some of you wonder about the ingredients, it’s a water-based product with mainly glycerine and silicones. It also contains alcohol, but it goes closer to the end of the list.

Overall, my skin is very pleased with the results!
