5 years, it’s already an anniversary. I hope that my Holy Grail mascara will stay with me for many years.
I’ve always liked the Clinique brand. But their annoying sales reps piss me off and I usually end up with a desire of immediately leaving the counter.
I met this mascara by chance. You see, my eyesight became worse and I had to wear contacts. My eyes were red because of the mascara I used to wear, so I needed to find the right one for me. And thank God, I set off buying a high-end mascara not because I wanted but because it was essential. And now, it’s my all-time go-to.
The product is manufactured in Canada and it’s hypoallergenic. 100% fragrance-free and dermatologically tested. It suits those who wear contact lenses.
The ingredients list says nothing to me but I can see that water is first and then Carnauba wax. The other ingredients are nourishing, emollient and so on, as it’s meant to be in a mascara.

I was also glad to see the size of it (10ml) and pleasant packaging. The tube looks stylish. For me, I opted for the black color. The price is high - $22.00 but still may be discounted.
They advise to use it within 6 months of opening and if we divide the price into 6 months, that’s nothing for a hypoallergenic mascara then! I always use it up within that time and usually buy it with a discount.

The brush is handy, long and it brushes my lashes well. It doesn’t clump them. The brush already has much of the formula on it, so that’s enough to coat both eyes on one dip.

As for my natural lashes, they’re long and I’d like them to be more voluminous. I don’t want any drama but a subtle and never popping finish. For me, the product works all 100%!

The formula has wax in it, so it’s impossible to remove with water. I use mild soap for that. I’m sure that micellar water will take it off easy-breezy.
The product performs well no matter the weather. It doesn’t smudge when I cry or fall out during the day. My bestie also uses it, even though she doesn’t wear contacts. She says her lashes have become longer and don’t fall out that much when she removes it.
I haven’t found any dupe for it, even though I’ve tried some items from high-end and drugstore brands. I even tested out the natural mascara from Lush. But for me, CLINIQUE still wins the show!
