I prefer lip glosses to matte lipsticks. That’s why I bought this Clinique pop splash lip gloss+hydration with great pleasure.
The product promises hydration, which is such an advantage for me.
I’ve opted for the shade # 02 caramel pop, which is the lightest from the line-up. This is the true warm-toned nude shade.
It’s color-coded with my complexion: it isn’t lighter or darker than my skin. The product doesn’t have any shimmer.
The packaging is vibrant here: it’s packed with a short and rather chubby tube. It’s compact and steady. It is travel-friendly, as it doesn’t take up too much room.
The applicator sponge is classy and handy.
The formula is nice to apply and it stays comfortable throughout wear. The staying power is like of a lip gloss. The hydration is here but I can’t say that it’s more hydrating than any other good lip gloss.
In the close-up picture, I can detect that the formula settles into my fine lip lines, which is easy to correct when I press my lips together. No one will ever see it, aside from me. This is all due to the product’s color. But how will the brighter shades perform then?
The formula doesn’t show any white film all over my inner lip when wearing, even though I haven’t seen it for quite a while from middle- or high-end lip products.
I wish I could recommend it. You see, the setting into fine lines might still be an issue.
As for the shade caramel pop, I can highly recommend it!
