Today I’m here to tell you about my lippie discovery, which has become a constant resident of my makeup pouch - Blur Lux from ColourPop in the color Lucky Strike.
Place of purchase - official brand’s site
Price - $7 but I had a promo code, which made it possible to purchase this product for $5.60.
The design of this lipstick screams high-end: heavy mirror-metal casing with a lot of speckling stars on it.
The stick with the product is also adorned with stars. They all create an illusion that it’s a 30 dollar lipstick in my hands, not at all $5.
The shade is called Lucky Strike which is dark pink nude with a brown undertone and a semi-matte finish. This very shade reminds me of the shade #721 Hydra Extreme from MAYBELLINE.
In this swatch, I applied it with one coat
At first sight, the texture of the lippie might seem dry but this dryness somehow vanishes when I apply and wear it. The product glides over my lips, creating a pleasant velvet finish.
It applies with one clean and patch-free coat. The product is friendly for packing. No matter if I wear 1 or 5 coats, it still looks dope on my lips.
The product features a semi-matte finish, which even looks like powder. And even though the finish is semi-matte, my lips never turn into a desert within an hour of wearing.
There’s a pleasant, sweet and powdery aroma to the formula, which reminds me of candy floss.
For me, this lipstick is absolutely comfortable, no drying out or tightening to my lips. Sometimes, I can even forget that I do have it on my lips. But the formula isn’t long-wearing or transfer-proof, so it will stain all the cups and never live through a meal. However, it stays put on my lips for 3-4 hours.

And the most important thing about this lippie is actually that I can pair it with a lip gloss. I think that you all know already that one of the most viral trends of 2019 is a lip makeup where you wear a lip gloss over a lip liner. However, for my lips, a lip liner texture is too dry, so this lippie is a game changer.
Thanks to its powder-matte texture, the gloss seems like to be locked over the lipstick, ensuring no feathering.
Lucky Strike along with the FINDER'S KEEPERS lip gloss
If you want to buy this product, I can also advise you to splurge on the СolourPop lip gloss in the shade FINDER'S KEEPERS.
Lucky Strike with the FINDER'S KEEPERS lip gloss + Lucky Strike alone
Full-on makeup with this lipstick.
This shade is perfect for any daytime makeup look.
I’m sure that ColourPop products won’t ever disappoint you and will definitely live to all your expectations.
Highly recommended!
Later on, I’m planning to update my review because I want to buy some more shades from this collection soon!
Thanks for your attention!
