Hello dear readers and beauty junkies! :3. Today I want to tell you about the Golden State Of Mind Eyeshadow palette by ColourPop which has the wrong naming, I think (but I’ll speak about it later).

I started my acquaintance of this brand with this palette. Analyzing my choice I came to the conclusion that I’m reckless enough to leave the famous Super Shock mono packed eyeshadows opened after use which will lead to the immediate drying out of the texture. I also concluded that all the hit palettes they offered were more or less ringing the bell with those palettes that I’ve already had in my collection. But one day I saw this “treasure” shimmer palette and quickly understood that I need this unique beauty for me (I adore everything shining and sparkling + I guess this is the spring affecting me as well).

Package

As far as I know all the ColourPop eyeshadow palettes have one and the same cardboard, lightweight and small packages. They are all rather reliable as the refill pans never fall out (I’ve never checked if they are magnetic or not). If you want you can always open up the palette 180 degrees which makes the palette so easy to hold in hands. Smile

It’s true that the pans don’t have the written names under them though all the names of the shades are given at the back side of the palette. For me that’s okay.

Contents

At first sight you might think that there are too many shimmer and warm-toned shades to the palette. Though it isn’t actually true. In life most of the shades have cool-toned silver undertone and cast.

I want to warn you that the brightness or contrast ratio of some pictures can be different as I did it intentionally to show you the beauty of all the shades and their casting.

I want to separate the palette into three rows in my mind Smile

The upper row (the shades from left to right):

Best of all the products apply over a primer with a patting motion. If you follow this technique you’ll see the maximum of the color payoff of the shades on the skin.

I can’t say that they are easy to use as the shades differ in quality.

The glitter shades may fall out a little, so it’s better to apply them with a wet flat synthetic makeup brush. The shimmer shades are difficult to translate on the skin since they don’t want to sit there and stay on the finger showing the maximum of color only on the fingertips.

The products in the refills are very soft so one touch is usually enough to apply to one eye.

I’m rather delighted with the quality of the shades and I can’t say that I’ve ever experienced any discomforting feelings while wearing the products. I really like to experiment with them! Wink

I can’t come up with the full makeup using only this palette but I usually use these shades as an accent on my eyes. I use it everyday.

I recommend you try the ColourPop Golden State of Mind eyeshadow palette if you want to make your makeup look shiny and glittery. Smile

So, that’s all from me. Smile I wish you always create very beautiful and exquisite makeup looks! Enjoy spring and have a nice mood!
