It’s a well known fact that Colourpop is extremely popular nowadays. Every beauty blogger has told us about these eye shadows, so I’d like to share my thoughts about this product.
Today I’m gonna show you and tell you about #partridge, #paradox, #so quiche, #bae shades.Colourpop eyeshadows
are mid-end beauty products, but quality and the variety of shades, textures and finishes are really good!
Colourpop palette truly impresses! The shades are fashionable, fancy, exotic, interesting and sometimes a little too courageous! I rarely use basic shades now, as I’ve got lots of them, so I’m glad to find something more interesting and unique. Therefore, I bought this palette: #paradox, #so quiche, #partridge, #bae.
The shade texture is quite peculiar. There’re incredibly soft, gel-like and they kind of “spring” under the finger. They are perfectly applied on the eyelid. The main rule is - not to use any brushes and tap the accent Colourpop shade one more time after having finished your makeup. It’ll refresh the color and “imprint” the pigment on the eyelid.
You can see the pigmentation with your own eyes! Regarding pigmentation intensity, I’ve never had such quality eyeshadows.
Staying power is good even without any base, but with it - it’s eternal (at least on my not so oily eyelids).
#paradox - is the the most popular shade in 2016!
If you follow makeup trends, you’ve noticed that red shades still inspire many brands beginning from Lime Crime to Chanel. And you know what, I’m thrilled to bits! I absolutely don’t care that someone thinks it makes the eye look "ill"
The temperature of #paradox is changing from cold pink violet to cranberry, according to the shades you choose to mix it with.
Searching for some dupes, I’ve noticed that #paradox resembles one of the shades in Sleek Sunset palette.
#so quiche - is the favorite for many girl and the best-selling shade for this brand. On the one hand, it seems to be a common, everyday shade and suitable to many people, but on the other hand, it’s special - there’re lots of violet and gold sparkles on the soft metallic olive base.
The makeup seems boring this way, one would like to add some lines in tone of shimmer.
#partridge - is an adorable duo chrome flip that changes its color from blue green to the warm tint of milk chocolate. The green pigment is predominating.
It’s one of my favorite shades in this palette. It doesn’t look boring at all. I love supplementing this makeup with dark green even moss green line:
In general it looks like this:
What is more, it seems better if you apply inglot pigment with emerald glow over #partridge:
It’s beautiful too:
I haven’t found true dupes, but there’re some similar shades:
#bae - is a gorgeous blue glitter on the eggplant purple base. Unfortunately, this base appeared to be very unstable. The shade is different all the time and it applies the worst. I knew this before I’ve purchased it, so I was ready for that.
But you still can find the way around with this shade if you, for example, apply it as a thick line on the movable eyelid.
If you don’t want Colourpop eyeshadows to disappoint you, you should mind the following rules:
- Do not forget to apply a base, eyelid primer to increase not only the staying power, but also strengthen the intensity of the eyeshadows.
- Forget about brushes. All you need while applying the Colourpop - is your fingertip.
- You should tap the shadow on the eyelid with imprinting strokes.
- Add some more Colourpop shadow above, as soon as you finish your makeup.
- Don’t leave the jar opened for a long time and close the lid up tight.
Conclusion: As far as I'm concerned, I’m totally satisfied with the quality of Colourpop eyeshadows! There’s an abundance of shades in this line, so every girl will find something special for her. Colourpop has a really good range of metallic and shimmer shadows, so I recommend to turn your attention to them in the first place.
