I have two shades from the Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter collection and they both are unique and utterly beautiful. They are worlds different, that’s why it’ll be better to look at each of them separately.
Let’s start with the Over the Moon shade, which has such a big dent in it, that I can already see the bottom of it.
This one is a holographic lilac highlighter, which is actually a pearlescent white jelly with an abundance of blue, purple and pink finely milled glitter inside. It looks so impressive, yet it still has to fit the bill to wear.
I’d say that it’s a festive highlighter, which will be so flattering for a photoshoot, theme party or any other bright event. I can’t imagine wearing it with a classy makeup, so once there’s a festival in our city, I don’t miss a chance to wear it and wear a lot.
It’ll also look alluring and interesting on the lips, eyes and body. The product is really long-wearing but you’ll have to be ready that everything around you will be covered with that glitter.
The second shade is called Flexitarian. In my book, it’s a liquid mirror. I haven’t seen such bright highlighters before.
Unlike the previous one, this product consists exclusively of the tiniest shimmer bits, creating a mirror-like surface on the skin.
This is the brightest highlighter in my collection. And believe me, I know what I’m talking about since I have a ton of them.
They remind me of an oily gel texture-wise and they are possible to apply only with my fingers.
The glowing shine is easy to apply from the lightest to almost like a liquid silver gleam. In the photos, I applied them with the thinnest as possible layers.
The blending is easy and the staying power is killer.
I can watch them for hours. So beautiful and nice to apply on my skin.
If I am to summarize all that was said above, I conclude that these aren’t the products for everybody. But I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed if you buy them.
