Hey there!
The Dior Backstage collection was filled with new products like highlighter palette, face and body primer recently. It was surprising to find out that it wasn’t sold out within minutes, unlike the palette in the shade #001.
I was questioning myself for a long time whether I need it or not and eventually, I have it in the shade #002.
Product main info:
Weight: 10g
Price: $45
Shade: 002
Made in Italy
Product claims:
Dior has created its first professional makeup line, a collection of makeup artist essentials, inspired by the energy backstage at the runway shows. Shades to suit all skin tones in exclusive and buildable textures.
The Glow Face Palette is the Dior makeup artists' secret for adding instant radiance to any look, from a natural healthy glow to an intense luminosity.
Packaging:It was packed in a glossy thick paper box with the Dior branded logo on it. The compact palette is made of a see-through plastic with a glossy edging. The same as in the previous launches, this one lacks a brush and a mirror too. But I don’t find it critical.
So, this collection was released for professional use, mainly because of their simple yet handy packaging.
Impressions of use:
The palette consists of 4 shades of 4 different textures:
Glitter strobe gold
Peach
Glitter strobe pink gold
Bronze
The refills are adorable and they have the Dior print on it. However, it wiped off very quickly.
The palette is universal but I still think that the shades from this very palette will flatter more warm-toned skin.
The color payoff and glowing finish can be packed and controlled. The texture of the powders is soft and all the shades are massively packed with pigments. They don’t fall out or crease during the day, even though they may fall out when I apply them.
The highlighters can accentuate my skin texture.
The glitter shades are the same in texture and I can see how beautifully those bits shift on my skin.
Even when I try to polish the products into my skin, I can still see some chunky bits. But I wanted to get the dewy skin finish so much. I guess I’ll keep on using them only as eyeshadows. In a word, I don’t rave about those glitters.
I use the bronze shade only as my eyeshadows because I don’t welcome shining contouring powers in my makeup. When I apply it with a wet brush on my eyelids, the bronzer appears even more vibrant and lovely.
The shade Peach is very delicate and it offers the finest mill. I think it’ll fit the bill for any daytime makeup.
This is the perfect summer shade. My current fave.
Overall: I can’t say for sure that this highlighter palette will be my favorite. Anyway, I like the palette in the shade #001 more.
