I have never been bothered with my makeup setting before. Sometimes a makeup artist could spritz thermal water all over my face and that’s all. Recently, placing the order on one of the websites, I needed to add one more product for free delivery and I added this to the cart.

Price: $4
Size: 60ml
Actually, the product came packed with a cardboard box but I eventually threw it away (it was in the summer). That’s why there’s only this square bottle in front of you. It’s black and stylish, like all other branded products (by the way, they all look much more expensive to rather what they cost).

Even though the plastic is thick there, it’s still see-through. I can control the amount of the liquid left inside. For instance, this is how much of it is left since August. For me, this isn’t much but I haven’t been using it frequently.

There’s a simple spray dispenser, which spritzes the liquid with a pleasant cloud.

In the photo the spray might look too watery but in reality, it’s nice and pleasant.

It’s always good to throw something in the cart for free delivery but why the hell do I ever need this setting spray?
My skin is mixed which means that sometimes I shine bright like a diamond with oil. And I have some blemishes to conceal. Besides, I always wear eyeshadows and mascara, that’s why makeup staying power is important for me.
Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Amp-Acrylates/Allyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopheryl Acetate (Ve), Retinyl Palmitate (Va), PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Butylene Glycol, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (Vc), Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract
I’m not good at ingredients analysis but I was a little bit upset when I saw that alcohol in second on the list. Maybe my worries are in vain, yet I’m still very disappointed when I see it in the makeup ingredients.
By the way, the product doesn’t smell like alcohol at all. It doesn’t have any smell.
I use it as advised right after my makeup application from a good distance. Two presses of the pump are enough for my entire face.
It’s very tricky to avoid hair spritzing but I like that the product doesn’t affect it at all. The product is almost undetectable over my skin - it isn’t tacky, just a little bit dewy within a couple seconds of application.
The product is like water consistency- and aroma-wise.

My mascara or any other makeup doesn’t stay down after application. This is all due to that gentle cloud which is so delicate for my makeup.
I’ll tell you about the results as they are: my face is always covered with a moisturizer + foundation + concealer/corrector (powder or liquid, sometimes both) + powder.
Yes, this cake takes time to save, which I haven’t noticed from this spray.
My foundation can budge and crease some hours later. My eyeshadow stays at a place but this is all due to my eyeshadow primer only. But still, I keep on using this makeup mist. It feels like my makeup is finished once I spritz it all over.
Why do I assess it with so many stars? I found some other use for it for me. I read about it on the internet and now it also works for me this way. I use it for a damp eyeshadow application.

No, it isn’t convenient to spray flat and small brushes with it because most of the cloud falls down on the floor. But I’ve gotten used to it.
With the NYX Ultimate eyeshadow palette:

The difference isn’t so obvious, yet it’s still there.
With the Born To Run from Urban Decay palette:

Look at how sparkling the shade Big Blue Sky is!

And this is with the mineral loose pigments:

I haven’t learned how to apply them over my eyes yet, but I already like the result on my hand! Such beautiful frosty crumbles!
And some makeup looks, which I applied with the help of a flat brush, previously spritzed with this makeup mist. Believe me, the NYX eyeshadows never shine so beautifully without it.

By the way, I also found a use for the top cap of the product.

I spritz some liquid there and put some mineral loose eyeshadows to make them thick and creamy.

The result looks bright and the staying power is phenomenal. I can use it for my eye lining. But honestly, I still think that this option is too time-consuming.

So, considering the price and all the described above ways to use it, I want to assess this makeup setting spray with 4 stars. I hope that my review was informative for you.
