Before purchasing this product I knew about the E.L.F cosmetics only from beauty bloggers. Recently I bought this face primer and today I want to share my thoughts on it with you.

The tube with the primer is packed in a cute-looking black box with all the product info on it.

The tube is made of a thick matte plastic. It’s lightweight though still very sturdy. The top cap closes tightly and doesn’t pop open.

It’s also made of plastic and for me it works pretty good. The amount of the product is easy to control with the press of the pump. The more you press, the more product you’ll get coming out.

Scent
For me, it’s barely detectable. The product is neutral scented and I’m more than happy with it.

Texture
It’s thick, gel-like and absolutely non-sticky.
The product is super easy to smear all over my skin and I can feel how oily and silicone-like the product is to the touch. It rings the bell of those hair products which are to make your hair ends less frizzy.

My impressions of use
In general I can say that I don’t have to use any face makeup primers on a daily basis.
But if there’s a night out or I have to attend some special occasion, then I’ll be 100% sure to use a face primer by E.L.F.
This is my one and only (yet) face primer which helps my makeup look good even after 9 or 10 hours of wearing.
I wouldn't say that my skin is problematic, as there isn’t any inflammation or reddening over it. But I have to say that my T-zone tends to be oily and I also have enlarged pores on my cheeks and blackheads on my nose. I also have a few fine lines on my skin.
The E.L.F. Mineral Infused Face Primer Clear goes a really long way. A small pea-sized amount of the product is enough to apply all over my problematic areas, which are my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. I don’t apply the product under my eyes or eyelids.

So, what does (or doesn’t) the Clear Face Primer by the E.L.F. brand do?
It makes my skin super smooth and velvety to the touch.
If I have flakey skin, the primer will instantly even it out. I also like the way it evens out the micro relief of my skin.
Any BB or CC cream will apply better over this primer (unfortunately I can’t say anything about foundations, since I don’t use them). Don’t forget to apply this primer even if you used a facial scrub or gommage gel beforehand, as the result will be absolutely amazing. 
I also like using the finishing powder, which also applies better over this product.
Though, I must say that I haven’t seen any pores affected. My pores are well-visible (this is probably because of the fact that I apply this primer over a face serum). They promised us the appearance of pores diminishing. Maybe they meant that the foundations or BB creams won’t settle into the pores. Here yes, a definite plus to the product, as it beautifully evens out my skin relief, filling in all the pores and holes.
My T-zone looks less shiny. In the evening I can even omit using my powder, as my face doesn’t shine.
In general I can say that my makeup stays put and it looks good even by the end of the day (it’s spring now and unfortunately I can’t say the way the product will behave in the heat).
It feels as though that the product washes off easily with any facial cleanser. Yet still I’m more into the two-step makeup removing where I use my cleansing oil at first and then use my skin cleansing brush for better pore cleansing.
This primer won’t work for the eyeshadow setting. Once I tried to use it as an experiment. And I can say that there are many more other special products for the eyeshadows out there.
In this photo I applied a face serum-fluid which sank in very quickly and some time after I applied this E.L.F. Mineral Infused Face Primer Clear + my BB cream.

Pros and cons of the E.L.F. Mineral Infused Face Primer Clear
the product does its job nicely - it’s a very good primer which allows my makeup hold on better and longer

it doesn’t provoke any negative reactions, like allergy or drying out

There’s only one con for me here about the product:
The bottom line
All in all, I liked this E.L.F. Mineral Infused Face Primer Clear.
I can recommend it though not for everyday wear, because of the ingredients. But you can freely wear it when you need perfect coverage without any nasty oily sheen on your face for a very long time.
