I adore winged eyeliner, and I wear it almost everyday, for more than 13 years already! I started with pen-styled eyeliners but later decided to try out cream and gel ones. And now, for about 10 years the brush and good cream eyeliner helped me to love myself even more.
For all these years of practice, I can say it for sure that the well-pigmented and creamy textured eyeliner are the key factors in getting a beautiful and neat feline flick. The brush is important, but not so much as the liner itself, as it’s just a tool.
My friend hooked me on the E.L.F. products. I can’t say that all the products by this brand are good, but there are some exemplars which can give a head start to some high end and professional products.
I want to tell you about one such product. And it's the E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner. I’ve been using it for 2 years already, and I’m sure that I’ll buy more. It’s a cream eyeliner, mine is of black and metallic olive colors.
Packaging: It’s a plastic pot with a tight screw top cap. There was also a quite good quality brush included, which I eventually lost somewhere.
Texture:
-It’s creamy and way easier to apply than gel.
-It doesn’t dry out too quickly. I mean for the two years of use, it has become a tad dried (if compared with Bourjois that dried out like a stone for less than a year).
-you can vary the intensity of color you want to get on your eyes. The product is buildable to get more intense color
-the product doesn’t imprint on my upper eyelids, which is very important, as there are a lot of other cream eyeliners which can’t live through my working day on my oily bare lids
-it’s difficult to remove with micellar water, but easy with cleansing oil
- it dries quickly on my eyes, but not too quickly as Maybelline or MAC products, so you’ll have some time to correct or add some more color
- my eyes are sensitive and I can suffer from allergies from time to time. But when I wear this E.L.F eyeliner, I don’t suffer any discomforting feelings.
- it depends on the color how dry your eyeliner will be. My metallic olive and coffee ones are very soft and easy to work with, while black is harder, even though I opened them at the same time.
Price: $2-3
Let’s have a look at the colors:
Black is black, here I have nothing to comment upon.
I want to pay some more attention to the olive metallic, as it's very versatile and unusual color. In different angles of light it looks differently: either green, or khaki, or even bronze and brown sometimes. There’s a small amount of shimmer, but it’s beautiful and gives some charm to the product.
To sum up, I think that the product is worth your attention and you should definitely give it a go! The quality surpasses its money 100%!
