I can’t imagine my life without mascara. I feel kind of naked when I don’t have it on 
Today I’d like to go through The Estee Lauder Sumptuous Knockout Defining Lift and Fan Mascara. By the way, it’s the first product I have from the brand. Now I’m determined to try something else from the brand.

The outer appearance
I have a mini-size tube with an unpretentious design. The full-size version comes in an impressive metal tube.
Volume: 6 ml of the full-size against 2.8 ml of a sample. I consider 6 ml to be too little. Usually such products come with 8-10 ml…
It expires within 6 months after opening.

The brush:
I’m not really into silicone brushes, but this option made me change my mind. The brush is very handy and has a lot of short bristles that perform really well.
It picks up the right amount required for an eye, but it may seem that there is nothing on it
The only complaint I have about it is that the brush wand is too short, but it’s a widespread issue with most mascara samples.
Smell
The smell is not potent and hardly detectable. It’s fragrance-free.
Color
The mascara is available in one shade only and it’s 01 BLACK. It’s kind of a ‘natural’ black shade, not pitch black or charcoal black. It looks good in a nude makeup.
Consistency
It has a medium-thick consistency that is neither liquid not too thick.
Use
It applies easily to my lashes with a brush. It doesn’t stick them together or applies clumpy. It doesn’t leave behind any fallout when I wear it or transfer onto my upper eyelid (I have oily eyelids).
It separates them really well and somehow grooms them. It colors my lashes into the corners of my eyes with ease and you can safely apply it to your lower lashes.
It doesn’t curl my lashes, so if a curl is essential to you, use a lash curler for that purpose.
This mascara is not waterproof, but it survives a little rain.
My BARE lashes:
Applying just one coat of this mascara, I get very natural-looking lashes, yet my eyes look more defined and expressive.
Applying the second coat, my eyelashes look fuller. By the way, it doesn’t stick them together. Two coats look very good in a daily makeup too.

Bottom line:
It’s a perfect mascara for a daily nude makeup for me. However, it can be used for an evening makeup too if required, but I think that there are better mascaras for this purpose.
It washes off with micellar water or cleansing oil without fuss and without leaving any residue.
