This time I’m bringing you a review about my favorite matte lipstick so far. It’s on the Wear Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick from Gerard Cosmetics in the shades Serenity and Cher.
This product is top! Its quality is on par with liquid matte lipsticks from Anastasia Beverly Hills, Lime Crime, Dose of Colors and other high-end companies.
But this option has even a few significant benefits when compared to the above mentioned.

So, the price is $20, which is the price of any ABH lipstick, for instance. But this brand constantly allows discounts, so you can sometimes purchase 4 lipsticks for $10 each, which is so cool 
The second important thing for me is the design. No doubt that the Lime Crime products are stunning liquid matte lipsticks, plus the color range is great… But who actually said that metal-like raspberry-red cap with some ugly pictures on the tube is beautiful and look luxurious?

So Gerard Cosmetics is better in this respect.Their lipsticks come in straightforward matte-golden tubes that are not only nice to hold in your hands, but also scratch-resistant when carrying around in a purse.
Now to the shades…
I’d like to start off by reviewing a fabulous daily shade Serenity. It’s a divine matte orange nude. By the way, this shade was developed by the popular Manny Mua, the beauty blogger.

The color is pretty warm and has a brick-red undertone that helps refresh any skin tone.
I personally gravitate towards lip makeups with a few colors used. So I contour my lips with this shade and add a hint of pink to the center of my lips. As a rule, I use NYX matte lipsticks for this purpose.

Cher is another shade that I love. It’s also perfect both for everyday use and special occasions. This one is a tad darker than the previous hue, but looks the same awesome.
It’s an intense dusty-pink that is very long-lasting.

On the plus side, the lipstick looks different by different lighting.
It looks quite pale outside, but it’s almost deep-red against fair skin. By room light it emphasizes the natural lip color amazingly well.
Staying power: It’s on fleek as well as by most high-end matte lipsticks!
It lasts OK provided you don’t drink anything and don’t eat greasy food. I only touch it up after snacks.
By the way, the product applies in a thin layer like fluid and not like water as in the case with Lime Crime.
It spreads out in a thin and even coat without any streaks. Moreover, it doesn’t bleed or crease.

Also, I’d like to say that it doesn’t dry out my lips when compared with other matte lippies.
But I always use it along with a lip balm. I moisturize my lips generously before applying makeup and then I dab my lips with a tissue to remove the excess amount. After that I contour my lips when necessary and apply the lipstick.

So, I’m totally obsessed with this product and now I’m planning on purchasing some other shades.
