You know, writing this review I was rather confused when I came to the point where I should say whether I’d repurchase this lipstick or not.
Why was it so confusing and a little bit difficult to answer this question for me? You know, it may sound swanky but the thing is that Armani has always been perfect for me, I mean it’s perfect everywhere and all the time. All the perfume that I adore is created by this brand. Well, take the Maestro for example, …it’s a foundation veil which has been here with me for a few years already. But aside all these praises, there was still something confusing me in this lipstick. So, general characteristics of the ROUGE D'ARMANI №501:
Design
The classic and sleek design of the tube is always pleasant to lay my eye on. I really appreciate the simple and classic design of the cosmetic products. The strict and black design of the tube is harmoniously balanced with the brand logo between the top cap and the tube itself. Here you can find the embossed GIORGIO ARMANI lettering on the black background.
It’s noteworthy that no matter what position the top cap to the tube is, they’ll always cling together as there are magnets inside. This is the closure mechanism. I find it so convenient as this mechanism totally eliminates the chances of the product being accidentally opened in a purse, for example.
And right here I want to say a few words about the disadvantages of the lipstick which will affect your aesthetic feelings anyway.
The stick stains the tube really badly which leads to the beautiful appearance loss and it disappoints me very much. So I always have to grab some tissues and wipe the tube off.
Texture
Consistency-wise the lipstick is really buttery. This is why it’s so easy and pleasant to apply over my lips. For example, I apply it right from the stick and don’t use any additional lip brushes. The texture is a little bit more buttery than I’d wanted it to be. This is the reason for the tube staining, I deem. It feels as though the product is melting a little on my lips. The wear is very comfortable.(!) I almost don’t feel it on my lips at all.

Application issues
It’s better not to use this lipstick on the go or as a quick touch-up, I doubt you’ll do it well. Yes, I do really apply it right from the stick, but after that I dab my finger over the lips for the better so-called lipstick setting. I always apply it only in ONE LAYER! Though I have to say that I usually apply all my lipsticks with one layer. But here it isn’t habit playing the role. I just don’t like the way the lipstick looks if I build it up because it starts to look like heavy and plasticine-like.
Coverage
Again, applied with the one layer this lipsticks covers up my natural lip color 80-85%, even though I have very well pigmented lips.
Scent
The product is fragrance-free and it doesn’t have any taste either.
Lip care
Using this lipstick I haven’t noticed any significant lip moisture or anything. There wasn’t any irritation, tightening feelings or any other unpleasant experience with the lipstick on either.
Staying power
The lipstick is rather usual when it comes to the staying power. I deem it’s because of the gentle and melting texture that it has. It you don’t have a bite or drink, then the product will stay on your lips for 3 and a half hours maybe.
Removing
The removing is very simple and any makeup cleanser that you have will cope with it, so there’s no need to bother with any particular removing product.
Shade
№501. Well, the shade is thought out and I can see a good job done behind this very color. Of course I can’t say that this shade is for everybody or that it’ll flatter anyone. No, but at the same time it literally won me over with its noble and at the same time gentle hue. The color was actually the reason for me to grab this lipstick at the store. It’s a rather complicated shade, I should say. I see it as a cool-toned rose with a hint of lilac note to it. The color is pure and it’s absolutely shimmer-less and there’s nothing odd to its formula.
Even though on the swatch I can see the teeny-tiny shimmer bits if I take a very close look. But this is only for the better as these bits really make the lipstick look posh in the sun.

The finish is dewy, I’d say. My lips look more than decent with this product on.

Honestly, I’ve never came to the conclusion whether I’d repurchase it or not. There’s something that stops me from saying the definite “yes” yet at the same time the lipstick really appeals to me. I guess the purchase will completely depend on my mood at that moment, if you’re a girl, you will understand me.
