I’ve heard of the quality of Armani products a lot. But there was always something that stopped me from purchasing any of their cosmetics. Maybe it was the lack of time or maybe the lack of money. But when I recently had a sudden attack of shopaholism I decided that there was something pink missing in my lipstick collection.
Giorgio Armani Rouge d'Armani 512 Pastel
The packaging is absolutely Armani-like: black glossy tube which can be easily clicked shut even with my eyes closed thanks to the hidden magnet. The stick itself is doe-foot and matte (even though they don’t mention that the product is matte). There’s no fragrance to the formula.
512 Pastel - is a really gentle pink shade which is kinda neutral in temperature, I assume.
As for the technical characteristics of the product I should say that they texture is very thought out and isn't chapstick-like. It’s very easy to cover my natural lip pigment with this lipstick. It applies and smears nicely and I haven’t noticed any budging or feathering.
The contour is there even if I don’t use a lip liner. In general I must say that the wear time of this lipstick is one of the main advantages it offers, as it stays on way longer than many other similar lipsticks.
By the way, the texture doesn’t show flaking or lips blemishes which I was mostly afraid of. During application the lipstick shows a beautiful glossy finish which later transforms into more a satin-like finish.
The price is about $38 (though there’s a chance to buy it discounted).
