This summer I found the Givenchy Rouge Interdit Lipstick in a bright intense shade #23 in a beauty box.
Rouge Interdit is more than a lipstick: it's a fashion accessory with a designer signature. The black and silver tube is an objet d'art adorned with a ribbon at one end that unlocks this beautiful piece. Wear anytime, in any circumstance. When applied, it immediately soothes and softens. Its fine, spreadable texture melts over the lips.
Honestly I’ve never tried any high-end lipsticks before this one as I usually buy cheaper lipstick by NYX or the Sleek brand.
And of course I need to mention that I stopped buying lipstick that have a satin finish as I just don’t like them. But this babe showed me that satin lipsticks can be great in quality and shade.

The color selection is very big and different. There are beigy-pink shades along with the bright and bold ones. I have my mini in a bold shade. It’s a bright crimson color.
If you take a closer look then you’ll see some small shimmer particles to the formula. They aren’t visible on the lips, though. So you can be sure that they won’t grab all the attention. The formula looks very harmonious on the lips.
I fell for the texture of this babe. It’s very soft and lightweight, offering a huge color payoff at the same time.
Thanks to the texture it gives good nourishment and hydration to my lips, almost the same as a good lip balm or a chapstick. I don’t know if all the high-end lipsticks are so fine in texture or if it’s only this one.
After application it doesn’t crease or gather in the corners of the mouth. I appreciate the way it evenly applies on my lips.
The staying power is about 4-5 hours. It’ll easily live through a meal. Of course this lipstick isn’t as long-wearing as a matte liquid lipstick but for a satin finish lipstick it shows rather decent staying power, I guess.
In the end I can say that I liked this lipstick from the Rouge Interdit collection by Givenchy and I think I’ll probably buy the full size as well. But this time I’ll opt for some calmer and more muted color.
