Guerlain Kisskiss Lipstick Morning Love Makeup Collection Spring 2019 - review

Hello dear readers!

I guess that many of you will agree on the fact that if you try something high-end once, there’s no way back. It means that you’ll still have some favorite products from an affordable segment but you’ll always be longing for luxury beauty and design.

And here it is, the Spring capsule from Guerlain. It’s unlikely that it’ll catch everyone. But if you’re into such cosmetics, which gives broader scope for your fantasy and you love everything cute, it won’t leave you alone.

Well, this is actually how it caught me.

Currently, I’m on the lookout for their new highlighter, which is present at the stores only as a teasing tester.

And even though I don’t own those hyped Meteorites from Guerlain, I still believe these lipsticks are the same for the lips as those powders for the face. And here we face the two main questions:

Are these lippies essential?Of course, they aren’t.

Will everybody fall for them?No.

But for me, these two babes are like signs of coming spring and they bring me into high spirits with their inner magic.

So, let’s pass over to the products…

Shade #575 Lilac Moon

Shade #543 Peachy Star

As you can see in the pictures, the products are slightly pigmented.

The lilac shade #575 is almost sheer and it only covers my lips with a lightweight sparkling silver coat.

The peachy-pink shade #543 is more pigmented and semi-sheer in coverage.

Let’s look at them in action.

#575 Lilac Moon

I hope you know that the color finish will depend on your lip color.

As for mine, they are naturally rather bright and pink-peachy. This is logical that my lip color doesn’t make the lilac base come through. If your lips are paler, then this lippie will look more lilac on you.

Anyway, this product shines beautifully under the light, creating a light holographic glow.

Experiment. I decided to try to apply the lipstick over a foundation on my lips.

This is logical that the final result will look more white-off and cool-toned. This is exactly what I need. Also, from the picture, you can see that this duo settles into my lip crevices, which is obvious because all lip glosses and lipsticks do so. However, this is visible only from a close-up photo. In life, I’m more or less pleased with the result.

543 Peachy Star

And even though one might think that it’s such a strange barbie pink childish shade in the stick, I don’t find it like this in life.

This is that very color for me that breathes with spring. And it looks so alike with the color of the year, according to the Pantone house. And the shimmer and shine there is delicate and it doesn’t look like from back in 90s. You can also apply it with a thinner coverage, not so intense as in the photo.

And then a gentle blend of these two shades.

And yeah, it all looks like I have nothing applied on my lips. But my lips are moisturized, protected and shine gently in the sun.

I want to highlight it once again, this collection from Guerlain isn’t must-have, yet it’s pleasant to have in your stash.

 

The bottom line:

Characteristics:

• classy, not too chasing yet still not to everyone’s taste KissKiss collection aroma.

• lightweight and a tad moisturizing texture

• glossy, yet delicate finish

• it general, this formula is comfortable on my lips. It feels like I applied a non-greasy lipstick over my lips.

• If your lips are flaking, it’s very likely that the pigment from a lipstick (especially a glossy one) will sit there. However, these lipsticks seem to be concealing my lip blemishes. In any case, it depends more on the light.

• I don’t detect any glitter particles on my lips

• The moisture base sinks in within an hour approximately and then there’s a delicate glow and a tint left behind (it’ll be light from a lilac shade and more obvious from a peach shade)
