♥ Hello people!
I’d like to tell you about the eyeshadow from Guerlain. It’s a limited edition collection and it offers only 2 shades in the line. And naturally, I have them both!
♦ The first shade is gorgeous. Turquoise-green, bright and bold shade.
♦ It shifts under different lights and seems either more bright green or teal. ♦ The packaging reminds me of lip glosses. It has the same sponge applicator which is a typical feature of lip products.
♦ The formula of the product isn’t too runny. It has a distinctive pearl shimmer to it, however, that shimmer isn’t so obvious on my eyes.
♦ It appears bright and bold which makes it a perfect option for summer makeup. Here I applied it with moderate coverage and blended out a little.
♦ By the way, the blending is absolutely fuss-free. ♦ The formula sets after application but it never has a crackling finish but still, I’d like to recommend you to blend it out without a sponge. ♦ After setting, the finish turns to powder and it appears matte and pearl, well, satin!
♦ After setting, the product won’t crease or fall out if you apply it right. I mean if you hadn’t packed it with 5 coats with the sponge.
♦ Here I tried to smudge the coverage. You can see that it turned into powder.
♦ The color is truly magnificent! It isn’t as bold as DG Perfect Mono in the shade Turquoise, so this one is more versatile and wearable. However, I still won’t recommend using it as an eyeliner.
♦ As I’ve already said, this shade is shifting and that’s great! Under some angle and light, the shade appears so gentle and pearlescent green!
♥ The bottom line: I give this shade 5 deserved stars:
it will be the best option for summer
it’ll flatter any eyes
it stays on well
it steals all the attention
it goes well even with blue eyes but I’d like to advise you to pair with it with a light off-white shade then
you won’t probably succeed at lining your eyes with graphic cat eyes with this product.
♦ This is what it looks like over me with all my makeup on.
♥ As for the second shade, I can say that even though I liked this one more at first, I used to think that it would be more versatile and wearable, it still didn’t impress me much in the end.
♦ This shade is light sand and champagne. And of course, it’s pearlescent too.
♦ Why don’t I welcome it?
Because if I apply it with a thin coat, it doesn’t show the results that I’d like to see.
♦ And when I pack and apply more with the sponge, the finish tugs my skin and falls out.
♦ So, I tried to fit it into my makeup when I top my other eyeshadows with it.
♦ I tried to pair it with Givenchy Ombre Haute Couture 5 Taupe Velours. In the end, I had such a golden metallic shade which I was pleased with.
♦ Also, I paired it with Dolce 90 Elegance and was anticipating a silver finish but in the end, the products didn’t go well and the Guerlain eyeshadow only defined my eye skin texture, aging it too much:
♥ Conclusion:
this shade doesn’t go well with my skin tone
I don’t like it application-wise
I can recommend it to swarthy gals who will be contrasting with this shade
I give it 3 stars and a half.
♦ Broadly speaking, I can recommend these eyeshadows, especially if you welcome pearl and satin finishes in your makeup. If the price is okay for you and you don’t expect any dewy finish, buy it!
♦ Thanks for your attention!
