Hey!
Even though I had a disappointing experience with Huda Beauty in the past, I wanted to try an eyeshadow palette from this brand. I mean I didn’t need a huge palette, for I knew I would never use one, but the Obsessions mini-palette caught my attention, or more specifically, it was the color combination ‘Smokey Obsessions’.
Weight: 10 g.
Shelf-life: 12 months
Made in China.
The palette arrived in a little plastic cover plate, which is probably supposed to prevent the spontaneous opening of the palette during the delivery.
Outer appearance:
A little black palette with a picture of the broken eyeshadows and a magnet latch.
Inside, there is a little mirror, that was initially protected with a wrap. The mirror is great, by the way!
On the backside we can find more product details.
A bit about the size of the palette:
The palette seems quite small because it contains only 9 colors, and the intervals between the refills are minimal.

Eyeshadows:
There are 9 shades, 4 matte and 5 tightly pressed glitter ones. There is something cheap about their smell, though.
I don’t like matte shades, especially the black one, which looks grey matte when blended. Matte shades are rather sheer and must be layered if you want to get a good color payoff.
I prefer glitters, they are soft and easy to apply. They give such an awesome glow! I don’t need any pigments any more.

What about the fallout?
Only the black shade tends to fall off. The glitters fall off too, a little bit, but on me, all glitters do that.
How to apply?
The matte shades must be applied with a soft fluffy brush. Don’t dip hard brushes into these eyeshadows, or they may become crumbly.
The glitters are easy to apply both with a flat brush and with fingers.

My personal impressions:
It’s a really great palette. The eyeshadows stay put until you remove them.
I love its size and multi-functionality. With this palette, I can create both a delicate day makeup and bold smokey eyes.
There are a few minuses, though, namely the sheer matte shades and the cheap smell. Other than that, it’s good. It’s especially timely now, when Christmas and New Years are coming, and so is the necessity for bright evening makeups with glitters.
