The prism highlighters are seeming to be taking over the world. At first Kat Von D came up with her Alchemist palette, then the Lime Crime, Becca and Jeffree Star brands tuned in. Then all the market seemed to start shining with the prism highlighters and illuminators.
Today I’ll make a review of the IsaDora Face Glow Prisma Wheel 50 rainbow highlights.
Compact. It’s a big plastic round without a mirror. The plastic is rather sturdy and doesn’t scream cheap.
It houses 5 highlighter shades:
- mint
- purple
- cool-toned white
- cool-toned pink
- golden pink
The powders are nicely grained as well as pressed tightly, though they can go a little bit dusty in the palette.
I can’t see any separate glitter or shimmer particles which is a definite advantage for me.
They show a beautiful glow on my face. With these powders you can easily create a beautiful glow from within effect or layer the product and get a very intense shine.
By the way, the golden pink color can also be used as a topper shade for blush for glow-makeup.
However, the mint and purple colors still look unnatural on my skin, as they are semi-transparent duochrome colors and they are impossible to blend into a more natural shades. The green and purple are rather strange shades to see on the face, aren’t they? But don’t be upset as you can always use them as eyeshadows because they blend really nicely!
