I’ve never tried dark lipsticks but here I finally dared and bought the L.A. GIRL Matte Pigment Lip Gloss in the shade GLG843 "Rebel."
I’m still learning to apply it neatly and evenly to my lips.
the color is very beautiful and you can also vary its pigmentation by layering the formula.
It isn’t long-wearing, though. No meals with it on:
This is what my lips actually turned into after I ate an apple and by the way, the apple was also stained with the lipstick. It looks as though the lipstick cracked and fell out in small pieces. What’s more, I wouldn’t recommend you to talk too much with this lippie on either, as the result will be just the same.
No taste to the product was noticed but I can feel its smell, yet only in the tube.
Since the color is dark, it requires some skills in application.
It dries out my lips.
Be ready to remove the product only with some oil infused makeup remover, as micellar water won’t help you out here, don’t even try, I can advise to you. If you do try then the product will remove with some particles, yuck! So, no chance to reapply the product neatly during the day.
One star for the performance. I can’t recommend this product. It might be alright for a photoshoot once but absolutely inappropriate for everyday wear.
It was a long time ago when I started to look for an ideal purple matte lipstick for me. And there’s usually only one problem - all the matte lipsticks are too pricey. I had a huge desire to buy one of the LIME CRIME lipsticks but I just couldn't dare for this purchase.
