Pros: doesn't bleed or crease, lightweight texture, long-lasting, many colors available, sleek packaging
Cons: dries out lips

I’d like to tell you about the ArtDeco Lip Passion dupe that I’m so excited about. This is also a review about my dislike of Lancome and my whimsical lips. Moreover, it’s a story about how I was looking for a lipstick of my dreams.

Right off the bat, I should say that I’m not into Lancome, although I respect this brand. It’s just not my cup of tea. It’s not about the quality of their products, it’s all about their scent, because it turns my stomach unfortunately. However, I know that many girls love it. This time I couldn’t resist the temptation to try this lipstick with the color I’ve been looking for three long years. Here we are, Lancome has it.

I won’t be telling you how I looked after testing this lipstick in the store. I’ve tried every color the brand had and then I was asking the sales assistants to bring me some makeup remover ASAP. Thanks girls! After I removed it, I knew which color I want. And I bought it.

Here is the reason of my raving review.

It’s a gorgeous and dusty pink with a hint of lilac. The shade is deep and moderately dark. The color gets darker or lighter according to the lighting. However, the difference won’t scare you, because the color is very gentle.

The picture with a flash proves that this lipstick has no shimmer to it, which is very good.

By the way, I love this rose embossed on the lipstick. It’s such a trifle, but I like it.

The texture is buttery and the finish is dewy.

You don’t have to apply it over and over again for the color to pop. The color is visible in the first go. The lipstick simply melts away on my lips during application.

The coverage is medium. The first coat gives the color to my lips and two coats cover up my natural lip color completely.

The shade doesn’t perfectly coincide with my lip color, but it’s very close to it. It’s the closest shade among all the others I’ve ever tried.

I’m being very picky about the lipsticks and my lips are picky too. So, it doesn’t matter how the manufacturer praises his product, my lips and I are ready to contradict every statement.

Let’s see if Lancome is right or wrong about this lipstick.

It applies quite thickly, so I guess that the lipstick is best suited for the wintertime. It layers very well and doesn’t set into my lip lines. More than that, it doesn’t bleed or crease.

The application is streak-free. It would’ve been perfect if it didn’t dry out lips. It’s not a deal breaker as in the case with Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick, but I always have to apply a lip balm before that. However, the amazing color outweighs this insignificant con for me.

The lipstick wears around 4-5 hours on me and lasts through snacks. The shade fades away gradually.

Price: $30.50

I hope all your wishes will come true!
