I have a sample of the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation in a pretty dark shade 03 Beige Diaphane.
To be honest, the shade even scared me a little at first. Even the bottle was pretty dark, but I still dared to try it out.
This foundation is thought to be long-wearing.It’s available in a wide range of color tones.
The full-size tube retails for $47.
Ingredients:
The product is a little bit watery, not thick and has a distinct cosmetic scent.It smells sweet and not overpowering. The scent is very clear when applying and some time after that. It feels like the scent is covering you all over like a perfume.
The shade 03 Beige Diaphane is not the lightest shade, especially comparing it to the light skin of my hands.
However it looks better against slightly tanned skin tone.
Before/After
It’s a little bit of a hassle to spread out. It best applies to a primer or on top of a moisturizing cream that makes the process easier. The foundation applies more even then.It doesn’t set that quickly. At first it may even look mask-like, but it gets better in about 10-15 minutes.After the product has set, the coverage is even and nice.
The only drawback is that it may emphasize my dry patches, especially the area around my nose. I didn’t even know I had them when I was using some other foundation.
The coverage is medium to light. It covers up redness and some insignificant imperfections with ease. When the blemishes are very noticeable, it has to be layered.
Before/After
The maker claims that the finish is matte, but I wouldn’t describe it this way. It’s more like half-matte and gives some healthy glow.My skin looks healthy and nourished when it’s on.It doesn’t make my skin oily. Also, it won’t flow or bleed on combination skin types. The wear time is alright.As for the moisturizing and skin caring properties, do not expect any miracles.It gives no moisture to my skin. It feels alright against combination skin type, but I think you will feel absolutely uncomfortable if you have dry skin.
So, this foundation doesn’t match my combination skin very well. It’s good only for the summertime provided you use it with a primer or a moisturizing cream.
