Lately MAC was my favorite when it came to foundations, but the bad news is that their new foundation with full coverage was absolutely a pass for me. So, I came across the Bobbi Brown counter...
I also have the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Brow Pencil that is an everlasting love of mine, but I never tried their foundations.
I knew they launched a new product with SPF 15 and full coverage, which sounded too good to be true. A polite sales assistant told me everything about it and after that we started testing the shades available.

Wanna know what I think about the claims? I think everything is so true. Have you recently had any foundation that would blend out equally great with your fingers, a brush and a beauty-blender? I haven’t. I always applied the one with a brush, the other with a damp beauty-blender, etc.
After Bobbi Brown have perfectly set onto the powder I applied at home and I saw an amazing and photoshopped skin in the mirror, I knew that I had to grab it without delay!
This foundation is called Long-Wear, but it doesn’t mean that you will look made up. It only means that your makeup will be firm in place all day long. You can even touch your face with your hands throughout the day and pull sweaters over and it stays put! Also, you can easily use a cell phone and no pigment will be on the screen! Fancy that!

The packaging is nice, heavy and expensive-looking. It’s such a pleasure to hold it in my hands.
The effect is… A-MA-ZING! You get not only flawless skin tone that doesn’t look like a mask, but also nobody will ever guess that you are wearing it!
You’ll have even skin with all blemishes, capillaries and pores (that’s my issue) covered up. However, I don’t think it will help with super problem skin, but I can definitely say that the coverage is amazingly buildable.

The pigment stayed locked on all day even after I constantly touched it with my fingers.

I also noticed that my pores did not clog that much. I don’t know why. The product either controls everything or doesn’t let the dirt soak into my pores.
I have combination skin that may sometimes have an oily sheen, but it controls everything… The manufacturer recommends it for oily to combination types, by the way. So, the effect will probably be different against dry skin.
As for the full coverage, let’s face it. It won’t disguise everything on you. It’s not suitable for the skin types that require full coverage, even though the manufacturer promises it… Unfortunately, it’s not for you. This foundation is meant for some minor and insignificant blemishes like I have…
It looks gorgeous in the sun… I mean, I know that I wear it, but… God, it’s magic!
My skin is matte and moderately glowy. Exactly what I need!
It is available in 20 shades and you’ll definitely find something for you! On the plus side, it also has SPF 15.
I can confirm everything they claimed even without reading the research results:
- 96% said it immediately left their skin looking shine-free
- 93% felt it immediately minimized the look of pores
- 92% said their skin looked more even-toned throughout the day
- 91% said their skin looked fresh throughout the day
- 84% felt it left their skin feeling hydrated
- 81% said the foundation stood up to all their activities
