Hello!
Recently, I saw the Lime Crime products available in a store, so I decided that I needed to buy one of their palettes. My eyesight wasn’t caught by the Venus palette but I was more drawn to these gentle and aquarel Plushies Sweet Blends pigments.

Packaging
There are only 4 refill pans and they are packed in a small paper palette of a gentle pink and girlish color. Inside it doesn’t have a mirror but only a plastic liner. Here it’s really in place and handy. I didn’t throw it away, which isn’t typical of me, though.

The “plushies” palette was covered with a see-through pink plastic box that protected the palette from stains and damages.
I have to draw your attention to the palette and say it gets stained easily, especially inside. Mine is already dustied with pigment stains.

Shades and texture
The palette offers only 4 shades and I never thought that I’d like them.
It somehow feels like they are almost enough for any makeup look, from classy and office to creative and vibrant.

The mill is the finest, powder, so the products apply well and blend out into the skin with ease. The smooth transition shades are also beautiful and fuss-free.
So, since these are not actually traditional eyeshadows but pressed pigments, they are a tad drier in texture and they dust a lot. This makes spending higher and quicker.
You have to be ready to face the music when they dust. It’s not an issue to get used to it, especially when you use soft brushes. Anyway, I still find them more convenient than the loose pigments.

The shades are really gentle, semi-sheer and aquareal. They can be packed too.
- you can control the color payoff from the sheer and thin layer to the vibrant and accenting finish. The most important thing is to apply the same amount of the product to both your eyes which I usually forget. :)
It’s some kind of magic to watch the pigments bursting with color over a primer: the upper part is non-primed, the lower is over a primer from UD.

The color bursts with pigments and I can see that vibrancy which wasn’t even anticipated when I look at the first swatches above. :)

One more feature of these pigments is that they mix together right on my skin, so I can get a lot of color combinations and expand the abilities of these 4 shades.

For me, the palette lacks only a fair shade for the brow bone. I usually use the Bribe one from the Naked Reloaded palette. Apart from that, the palette is sufficient and prompts creativity and experiments, even though there aren’t a lot of colors here.
Staying power and removing
The staying power of the pigments is better than many eyeshadows. But they still crease over my oily eyelids without a primer by the end of the day. If I do wear them over a primer, they stay put till the moment I remove them.
They are easy to wash off with any makeup remover. No tinting finish.

My impressions of use
Honestly, earlier before, I wouldn’t even have thought that I could splurge $22 for a quad with eyeshadows. But when I actually did, I was so excited!
I’ve never had such a gentle and semi-sheer texture before. I really appreciate how airy and soft my makeup looks with this Plushies Sweet Blends quad.
I love that I can mix different colors and get new color combinations.
I also really love the fantastic blending. Even a newbie will get on well with these eyeshadows. It’s not so easy to apply them with patches, you know. :)
The only gripe is that they are dusty. But that’s okay for pigments. If you’re ready to forgive that, you won’t be disappointed. And of course, I recommend this Plushies Sweet Blends Pressed Pigment quad
Thanks for your attention!
