I have very dry skin, so I usually try to make it look dewy and somewhat sleek in makeup. Therefore highlighters are my best friends.
Dry highlighters are awesome, but they will never ensure a second-skin effect, only a creamy formula can do that.
Plus, the liquid highlighters are easier to work with. Apply a drop to your cheekbones, a BB cream on top and you are ready to go out
I’ve been dreaming about highlighting drops for a really long time, so when I found this product, I couldn’t help it Just look at this bottle! It looks so expensive that I wanna buy it immediately The bottle is made of glass and has a very handy dropper. Well, the concept of the product is amazing!
What is inside:
The consistency is oily and smells like, say, plastic or glue. There is a hint of something else, but well, it smells more like a glue.
When you add a drop of it to your skin, it looks stunning. It has an intense metallic hue as advertised.
But here is a PECULIARITY: As soon as you start blending it out, you get a copper oil with fine golden shimmer to it!
More than that, this highlighter doesn’t set. I mean I apply it, touch it with my fingers a few times and it’s gone.
Really? Loreal, I didn’t expect such a thing of you
Upon seeing the result, I was nothing but underwhelmed However, I found the way out. Now I don’t apply it to my cheekbones, but to the other areas.
So, lifehack 1 with a dud highlighter:
It works pretty well with foundations by making the tone a little warmer and giving a glow-effect from within.
Lifehack 2: Apply to lips:
It gives a nice peachy hue to my lips.
Lifehack 3:
Apply to your collarbones. This is how I’m going to use it in summer. By the way, it looks quite good combined with a foundation.
Verdict: I’m disappointed. I expected something more than oil with shimmer. So, I’m going to wait for the other new products from Loreal. I hope they will impress us in the future.
I hope my review was helpful for you! Happy shopping!
