When you love something, you want to tell the entire world about it. This is the very case with the Nars lipstick. So, it’s a raving review
It will match most girls with fair and medium skin tones.
As far as I’m concerned, it’s just perfect. It neither too orange nor too brown or pink for me. It looks a tad darker in the swatches than on my lips in reality.
The texture and wear time:
It has a creamy texture that is so comfortable to wear on my lips. It doesn’t feel oily at all.
The wear time is medium and I would even say good for a creamy texture. It doesn’t bleed or set into my lip lines.
My experience with the lipstick:
First up, the shade: I’m totally happy that I have finally found the color that compliments my fair skin tone so well.
Secondly, the pigmentation: The lipstick gives a thick coverage on the first go.
Thirdly, it’s an odd thing to say, but this product looks really expensive on my lips. The color, pigmentation and texture give an incredible result.
After application you can dab your lips with a tissue and get a matte finish.
A lip pencil suitable for the shade:
If you apply a lip pencil prior to this lipstick, you make it last longer.
As for me, I picked up the Vivienne Sabo #101 lip pencil that matches this tone perfectly:
The comparison with the dupes:
All these lippies and pencils are close to the shade of the Nars product. However, I don’t like any of them. They are too orange-y for me. Gosh pencil will look probably awesome against tanned skin tone.
The Seventeen Matte Lasting Lipstick in the form of a palette is the closest to the shade under the review, but the texture is not good, it’s too dry.
Everything looks super simple. It’s nice to hold in my hands, because the material is is of good quality. The tube is actually quite heavy.
The magnetic cap is really nice, I love it.
I’m totally pleased with this product! It is not at all in the same league as the dupes. I bought it just for testing, but now I know that I will definitely be repurchasing it in the future.
